My son and I took my husband to Restaurante Casa Grande for his birthday. He had lobster and enjoyed it thoroughly. My son and I enjoyed our entrees.

Añoranzas is located in San Rafael de Heredia, high above the town center. It is a cool forested area with a number of restaurants. Añoranzas is down a narrow road and set back from the road in a pine forest. It has a great view of the valley below from many of the tables.It's a very funky place with antiques all around--from TVs to a dentist's x-ray machine. It's worth the trip just to see it.The food was wonderful and the portions more than generous. Our table afforded us a view of the airport some 20 km. away. The service is mixed and altogether quirky. Don't let that stop you from eating here. I loved the place and I will absolutely go back.

esta a 1 km al norte carretera a Los Angeles, casi siempre esta lleno pero el servicio y la comida no desmejoran ,es un lugar que visito cada vez que puedo ,tiene amplio parqueo y esta una zona turÃstica de San Rafael la relación calidad -precio es excelente,tienen variedad de platos fuerte asà como un amplio surtido de bocas si van no se arrepentirán ,recomiendo los camarones empanizados

On our last day in Costa Rica we went to this little cute cafe / restaurant / shop. They make brilliant food, that really gives you a health kick. Next to that the coffee and tea is amazing, the interior really pretty and they also sell all kind of nice products, like spreads, coffee, cheese, and even ear rings and the like!We totally relaxed and enjoyed here.Amigo, nuestro menú de comidas orgánicas se amplió este año 2016, y también nuestra tienda. I went with my family about 2 weeks ago, food is made by Alfonso the owner, who is a certified chef, using his own recipes and sauces... I promise you'd love the menu the the natural juices offered. Sometimes we spend a lot of money for a meal done by a chef, Ben'tana is one rare case where you can eat good food with a low price

I've been noticing that many restaurants prefer to go for organic ingredients and out of the box recipes in their menus. That's what I found at "Siete Santos". I tried new flavors and the most delicious steak I've ever had in my life. Beatiful place, full of space and kind staff. I had a little bit of everything: starters, main course, and dessert. Two-thumbs up restaurant.

High in the mountain and secluded from the hustle n bustle of San Jose and Heredia. It's not easy to get to as you navigate through a winding Mountain Road going through several villages. This adds to normal Speakeasy Fields has arrived at the location with its parking often overflowing with vehicles.Unfortunately unlike most of the other Mountain restaurants in the surrounding Countryside they are not blessed with a beautiful view from their location, however they make it up with tasteful decor and fine dining at reasonable prices and excellent live music. You can pat yourself on the back just for getting here, though navigational GPS will get you there easily,, if you just trust it! The service was good and the food a finer typical variety. Seating is a little cumbersome, but your better off with reservations or you will be out of eyesight of the stage. The bar is in the middle and blocks alot of the view. The performances are Jazz, classical, and Folkloric with many popular Latin bands singers and poets. There is also a added surcharge after 9PM some nights depending on the venue. All an all it is an excellent choice for a date or with friends. Your night should be " PURA VIDA!"

Positives: Fantastic, creative, colorful asian fusion food! Love the Thai Tom Yum soup with shrimp and Vietnamese shrimp and rice dish. Great ambiance music at good level for talking. Good decor, lighting and variety of food and drink. Negatives: The white sangria was good but was filled with ice that completely watered down the drink. I would recommend serving it cold with no ice. As the customer drinks it, bring over a little bowl of ice the customer can add as needed. The staff is nice but forgetful and not good at taking the initiative. For example: they forgot about the water, never checked to see how our food was or to ask if we wanted dessert or another round a drinks. Starting at 10:30pm when the place cleared out, they seemed more interested in cleaning than attending to the customers since the rush was over. The staff brought over the cheesecake dessert without utensils or a candle despite I mentioned it was her birthday "La Cumpleañera" a few times that night. It would have been a nice gesture for them to bring over a complimentary dessert with a candle since we were there enjoying ourselves. I had to flag down the waitress to ask if they had any desserts and then when she brought it over ask her if they had a candle. Those are the little detailed that they could work on but, I'll definitely be back because of the food, ambiance and music.

Among the best restaurants in San Rafael, Matices personnel is always welcoming. Wether you want to have a full meal or order the "bocas" aka tapas, you will find most of the menu is delicious. Price -quality relation and portion size is better than most restaurants in CR. very recommended for casual lunch or dinner.
