Great, truly delicious food, very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere. When our kids got tired and we asked them to skip one course from the âtasting menu del diaâ (8 courses), they did so ánd speeded up with the remaining desert and coffee ánd gave us a discount. Muchas gracias for your great hospitality and service. Weâll be back!

With the beach om one side and the fishing harbor om the other side, Balearri offers good view, good service and fantastic seafood. Recommend the grilled hake!

A real gem. Lovely location overlooking the small port and beach. Wonderful staff. Very efficient and very happy people. The food was excellent. We shared the Jabugo ham to start. Wow! The best of the best ever. Literally melted In your mouth, delicious. Enough for two to share. Followed with a lovely tuna salad with a great dressing. Finished with lobster in rice was amazing. Then ...... the cheesecake. OMG simply lovely. Not like any cheesecake you will have eaten before. So lovely forgot to get a picture. Then the surprise would be spoiled. Not expensive and all made better by the location and lovely staff.

Grilled turbot fish is my top choice within our lunch meal. Texture and taste is superb ones. I love also their lobster. Recommended. End the meals with their cheese cream with stawberry sauce and phyllo pastry with coffee ice cream. Top meals..

Restaurant located in the heart of Getaria, next to the port. Specialists in grill, fish, seafood and wine, with own nurseries and winery. Fresh and seasonal products. Since 1962
We visited here because we âd read a recommendation by Australiaâs celebrated chef Neil Perry who suggested this could be the best seafood restaurant in the worldCouldnât disagree moreOur own Jim the Greeks in Melbourne had better seafood at half the priceWe shared a dish of Calamari which was ok but nothing special then a tomatoe salad which was nicely presented but the tomatoes were unrulyWe then share a plate of Turbo(whole fish) which was nicely cooked and presented but WOW at â¬96 way overpriced When we asked for the bill the waitress placed the machine in front of us and said....tip...No way given the very average serviceHeterosexual is a nice place to visit but my advice would be eat st the Tapas bars nearby or if you want seafood choose a restaurant down on the water not up on the plaza

We are here twice when we stayed in Getaria recently and were not disappointed. Service was fantastic. Treat yourself with the monkfish, or the turbot was our absolute favourite. Laid back, not fussy, and certainly not the most expensive in the area. Perfect spot too. Thanks for an excellent time. Would go back and certainly recommend.

This is a large, busy, restaurant in the port of Getaria. It should be in your records.
You have to climb stairs to have access to this restaurant. The windows overlook the fishing harbor. The waitress was very patient as she waited for us to make a choice. She showed us the fish before it was grilled. The for was excellent.

We visited this restaurant at lunchtime and found the dining area quite cosy and atmospheric with attentive service. Our starters were really nice (bit hard to describe though) but when it came to the mains my enormous portion of hake (accompanied by a miniscule amount of buttered boiled potato) became rather tedious to eat long before I finished it. We asked for a glass of white wine each: it was understood in bringing us a bottle that we would pay for what we consumed but, finding the local white wine delicious, polished it off anyway.I would echo what others have said about value for money: it was actually the most expensive meal we had during a ten day trip to this region.

Family business,50 years open, renovated in 2017. Local products, grilled fish, special menu, and large assortment of tipical pintxos in the bar.
Three course meal (18 e) was delicious. Four of us got to share fish cake, black squid rice, turbot, hake grilled anchovies, cheese with quince jelly sheep milk in a jar and a traditional dessert. The restaurant does not take reservations during the week so we had to wait about 1/2 hour. Once seated, service was fast and very welcoming. Definitely would return.

The Artzabal has a large terrace where you can enjoy your drinks and pintxos (fingerfood) when the weather is fine. It also serves a daily menú for 9,50⬠during the week and a 19⬠special menú on weekends. Most customers are locals, the atmosphere is relaxed, service friendly and toilets clean. On the bar counter they have a wide selection of pintxos which are mostly sold at 1⬠each and are quite tempting.
