This restaurant is certainly sub-standard especially for the price. I ordered chicken Parmesan but when it arrived it was covered in sauce and cheese and it looked awful. I had one or two bites and decided to leave quickly after paying. Portion size is massive and does not compensate for the poor tasting food.

Top 4 Mediterranean food in Nosara, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Brunch menu only, but what a menu! The food is super tasty, if we would have discovered the place earlier, we would have gone there more often. Everything is fresh and best quality. Smoothies are made with home made coconut milk. Even the eye gets its taste, as plates are very well presented. Itâs a blessing! AN ABSOLUTE MUST!

We discovered Almendros when we were in Nosara in November 2018 and we went back again when we visited in March 2019. Their ceviche is THE BEST! I also highly recommend their fried calamari. All the meals here are superb, and the vibe is casual and friendly. A couple of times we went they had live music - a very pleasant touch to accompany a delicious meal. It's a little off the beaten track in that you can't walk to it from Guiones, but you can take a tuk tuk. It's about 15 minutes away from downtown Guiones.
