Global flavors, local tradition. A fusion of Costa Rican flare and exotic tastes. Enjoy sushi and Thai dishes, as well as our take on American and local favorites. Vegan options available. Gluten free menu available.
Food was good if close to American style serving sizes, service was great - attentive staff, personable owner - turned the music volume down on request so we could hear each other without shouting. Open air plus adjustable fans made Air conditioning unnecessary. Happy hour was legitimate unlike other restaurants in the area, it really was cheaper to buy beer or cocktails during Happy Hour. Easy access walking from anywhere in Surfside (the unofficial name for the area), parking is limited but there are always places, last resort is the municipal parking lot nearby - it was usually vacant. Did not try the Indian dishes.

This is my first TripAdvisor review ever which says a lot about the calibre of food and service you'll get at El Castillo's. My husband and I visited twice for dinner during our stay in Costa Rica. There are many great places to dine in the area but El Castillo's food was so delicious and thoughtfully crafted that we visited twice, despite our general rule to never visit the same place twice. The first time we visited I ordered the mushroom burger that had a beautiful port sauce and my husband ordered the Timmy sandwich. Both were delicious. Tonight we went for the rib dinner -- a Friday special -- and it was out of this world. We were stuffed but couldn't refuse an order of the Snickers cheesecake that was just sublime and I'm not someone who has a sweet tooth. Everything is homemade and delicious. The owner and staff are attentive and the food is out of this world. Do yourself a favor and visit El Castillo.. you will not regret it!

Restaurant Estero Azul is located near Flamingo on your way to Potrero. Before you turn right at the beach at Restaurant Plemar keep on going straight all way to the back of the road (about 100m). You'll find a fisherman's house with a small eating place
Ate here twice with family. Food is very good and exceptionally well priced. Service is at a good pace and allows to watch the world go by via the beach or sun go down over a few drinks etc. The patacones and the cassada with fish are exceptionally good.

A soda is a cheapish Costarican type of restaurant. A good choice for locals and budget travellers. We always eat our breakfast at sodas instead of in the hotel - because the atmosphere is more local, and because it’s much cheaper. The soda next to Brasilito Hotel is Soda el Coco. Seemingly a nice place... But don’t go there - the food is not very good, and it’s totally overpriced. We had a modest breakfast (worst pinto for 2 weeks in Costa Rica) and payed 8000 colones - compared to the 6000 colones, we’re used to.To check if we were unfair we returned a little later and ordered two (lousy!) chicken sandwiches to go. Price: 5000 colones. For comparison: Soda Brasilito next to Soda el Coco charges 2400 colones for two much-much better chicken sandwiches. Less than half the price for a better product. Need I say more?

Formerly a private residence, The Beach House has been transformed into a quaint restaurant and bar, renown for its fresh seafood and equally excellent American fare. Located directly on Playa Potrero, The Beach House offers awesome daytime and nighttime
We drove the golf cart from Playa Flamingo and had dinner at The Beach House. Nice little 10 minute drive. The restaurant is small and the tables overlook the beach. Nice variety on the menu from fresh seafood to fried baskets to burgers, and everything we ordered tasted great. Watermelon mojito was yummy!

The food was so fresh. Farm to table, sea to table. Just delicious. We enjoyed three different salads and three different entrees. All were great. We had chicken, fish of the day and Shrimp.

Several locals recommended this place. We ordered the beef and the fish however we received pork instead of fish....and yes I speak Spanish so it wasn’t a language issue. Regardless the food was tasty. Pork was over cooked but still tasted good. Steak was great. Will eat here again next time we are in town.

The food here is good and not expensive. Customer service is good and the cooks are locals. You can find here dishes like omeletts, gallo Pinto (Local typical breakfast) and more! We suggest it for breakfast a lot!

Informal dining in a beautiful relaxed environment. Serving super fresh seafood, steaks and vegetarian options. Live dinner music through high season Tuesdays and Saturdays. Breakfast and dinner specials daily (best value in town!) and Happy Hour with sig
We walked up and had their "all day happy hour" (2 for 1 drinks) and dinner while watching the sunset on the beach. The staff was wonderful and food and drinks, delicious. They had live music as well. Highly recommend.

During a visit to Playa Conchal, arose the desire to feel connected to the surrounding neighborhood, so why experience the area through one of its restaurants? After deciding to arrive at Ander's Restaurant, it was immediately clear that excellent service would definitely be the standard for the rest of the night. Javier, our very attentive host, provided a warm and sincere welcome, and proceeded to inquire about any food restrictions and preferences, as well as consulted with Chef Ander regarding some options (not on the menu) to cater to a vegetarian's regimen. By surprise, both were happy to offer a few different plates that delivered on every detail. In relatively short order, arrived the most delicious, well prepared and nicely presented meals one could find in Brasilito. Nice texture, fresh ingredients, savory taste - perfect way to end the day.Add to that the authentic beach vibe, clean and orderly tables (glasses, tableware and tablecloths) and more than accesible price - for me that's an EASY five out of five "Excellent rating"!
