Rich selection of local simple and honest foods which are really tasteful, wine map is limited to house / local wines (nice ones). The view and ambiance is very nice indeed, service is friendy and with a smile. Recommended!

This hotel / restaurant lies just a few kilometers east of Pitigliano outside the village of Casone. I visit this area several times each year, and Belvedere has become a must-stop for a great lunch. I've only visited in fall, winter, and spring seasons, so I don't know what this restaurant is like in high season. But in the colder months, there is always a fire burning in the spacious dining room, where there might be roasting a whole fish, or some shrimp, or a steak over the coals. A variety of fresh pasta dishes, salads, and risottos are prepared in the back kitchen. Try a bowl of steamed clams as a starter, followed by risotto al pescatore. Belvedere produces and bottles their own wine. A half-liter of house bianco is just fine with the fish. At 1:30 - 2:00, near the end of the lunch hours, the Belvedere family comes out to dine at a common table. It's not uncommon to see three generations at table enjoying their own cooking.

Tuscan home cooking . Meat and fish . Always open for dinner , and for lunch only on holidays or high season.Tables outside . Foreign beers . Bread , pasta , desserts and digestive liqueurs are all homemade . Live music is performed by the owners spouses
Slow service, half of the time the waiter didn't hear us. Maybe, he's deaf?..I ordered a meal - wild boar. The smell was too strong and too spiced! They said that this type of meat is quite strong... so why the hell add even more spices then???Wine was bad too. We founding better wine in other restaurants.
