The hotel and restaurant is situated 75 metres from the turning into castril village. Attractive looking from The outside and doesn't disappoint inside either. I have only been in the restaurant part of hotel. Food is probably best described as homely cooking - it was delicious and served promtly- doesn't always happen in rural Spain !! Reasonable prices. Helpful and efficient staff.

Cafe bar emelio is situated on the main street in castril and has a small terrace with great views over the rooftops and the valley below. The var is like steppibg ack in tune woth traditional soanish decor and many ohotos and memorabilia from bull fighting, reflecting the career if the forner owner who had passed on business to younger members of his family. It is a great place for coffee,drinks, tapas. Not an extensive menu but food is all home cooked and delicious.

The ideal place for family gatherings, friendships and even business. Large parking, meals and homemade desserts.

Asador Romero is on the main road between Fatima. Place looks pleasant enough from the outside and interior decor good too. I had chotto/goat which was a strange mix of some being rather greasy and other bits rather dry - not sure how you do that ? Not being in a town it is reliant upon passing trade of people visit due to recommendation. Whilst it is ok- there are better places in castril itself. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices .

After the stunning walk along la Pasarela de la cerada it's great to finally have a great place to relax and have refreshment, be it a drink and tapa or a meal in the restaurant that serves traditional local Specialities. My personal favourite after doing the ten km walk along the valley from my home is the carne con tomate and the patatas bravas Del molino which is their own twist on a rather dull dish where fried potatoes are dressed with a great hot tomato sauce and sprinkled with melted cheese. Wash down with a wonderful creanza galira a local red wine from galera,, wonderful!whatever the weather it's very sheltered at. El molino so you can usually sit outdoors. The owner is very friendly and the ambience is great with a good selection in the pets corner and the free range chickens wandering around amongst the owners cats. There s often produce for sale rom their huerta, eggs, veg or walnuts recently.
