They were friendly and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant with a great view of the mountains but the food was greatly disappointing. In a summary it was not tasty at all and instead very salty and oily. Ordered a âroasted eggâ which was just fried egg in a plate of oil. The service were not happy to remove this from the bill but gave a complimentary (salty!) dessert instead. Somewhat friendly staff but all this was overpriced on top of it all
Deseando repetir.

Located on the road to Sierra Nevada, on the fertile plain of the Genil River and 5 minutes from the Alhambra, the Albanta Restaurant-Pub is a traditional place surrounded by nature. Our Mediterranean gastronomic offer has as main protagonist the product
We were so fortunate to find this restaurant close to our hotel - we shared the menu with two friends on two evenings and were treated like royalty. The only drawback is a selfish one - I ordered a martini and will never know just what it was, but that was the only âcomplaint.â, easily overlooked. The wine was wonderful! Our selections included seafood, meats, appetizers, salads and desserts and everything was well-presented and well-seasoned. This is a âmust.âDear Sahuaro6:First of all, thank you very much for visiting and sending us your opinion. It is very important for us to keep improving! At Restaurante Albanta we have a varied selection of products, all of them of first quality and prepared with the best elaboration. Thank you very much for giving us that great valoration!Kindest Regards!Restaurante Albanta Staff

We were staying in an apartment just across the road, whilst skiing in Sierra Navada. Great restaurant and unspoilt by the tourist trade, and you still get some lovely tapas with your drinks (which the kids loved).Definitely recommend if you are in the area

We were a party of 4 celebrating an important family event. We found out about this restaurant through Bib Gourmand Michelin and Trip Advisor comments, and decided to try it rather than use other restaurants we are familiar with in Granada. We were not at all disappointed. The welcome we received on reaching the restaurant was very good (most welcome as our Sat Nav seemed incapable of getting us to the right bit of Monachil!). The general atmosphere of the dining room was very pleasant and attractive, and the waitress most helpful. The food was excellent - beautifully prepared and presented, and full of flavour. The menu choice is limited, but of quite exceptional quality with a strong emphasis on local produce. Portion sizes are large, so for a party of 4 as we were it would probably have been sensible to choose 2 or 3 starters to share. As main courses, two of our party had steaks, and the other 2 fish - all felt they were of very high quality. The wine list was good, and not overpriced. I think reservations are necessary and whilst there was an English menu, the staff do not speak much English, so try your Spanish!!! Strongly recommended. We most certainly will go again.

Staying in Pinos Genil whilst skiing in Sierra Nevada we ventured to this small tapas bar one evening. Ordered drinks and the free tapas kept coming! Also ordered off the menu although we didn't really need it. Grand total of 42 euros for beers, wine and lots of tasty food. Would recommend.

We arrived in Penos Genil over a festival weekend and the whole place was having a party. We managed to get a table right by the river and the breeze was very welcome as it was 34 in the shade.Service was very quick and a local tapas delicacy of fried garlic breadcrumbs arrived with the very cold drinks. We chose pork fillet with garlic potatoes which came quickly and tasted wonderful. Pork sauteed served with garlic potatoes slow cooked in olive oil.The staff were very fast and efficient. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and we would definitely return here.Great place to experience the real Spain away from the tourist route.

We had lunch here on our way back to the shore after visiting Alhambra. The lunch included bread, wine appetizer, salad, a pork entree and dessert. The meal was very good, the atmosphere very nice and the facility was very clean. We recommend this place!
