Dinner time and full house? No problem, they set up an additional table for us immediately :-)Following the recommendation we had the house wine - an excellent tinto, accompanied by delicious bruschetta, compliments from the kitchen. As suggested we tried as main courses their wonderful tuna steak and outstanding pork fillets with clams; this combo was a first for us and a wonderful surprise too, really good! When we complimented the waiter and asked about the chef, our surprise ended: of course, cooking is done by his grandfather and he certainly does an outstanding job! From freshness of the ingredients, to presentation and definitely the taste! The Taberna Hita is a little bit out of the way if you visit Granada, but for sure worth the short road trip!

Located on the road to Sierra Nevada, on the fertile plain of the Genil River and 5 minutes from the Alhambra, the Albanta Restaurant-Pub is a traditional place surrounded by nature. Our Mediterranean gastronomic offer has as main protagonist the product
We were so fortunate to find this restaurant close to our hotel - we shared the menu with two friends on two evenings and were treated like royalty. The only drawback is a selfish one - I ordered a martini and will never know just what it was, but that was the only âcomplaint.â, easily overlooked. The wine was wonderful! Our selections included seafood, meats, appetizers, salads and desserts and everything was well-presented and well-seasoned. This is a âmust.âDear Sahuaro6:First of all, thank you very much for visiting and sending us your opinion. It is very important for us to keep improving! At Restaurante Albanta we have a varied selection of products, all of them of first quality and prepared with the best elaboration. Thank you very much for giving us that great valoration!Kindest Regards!Restaurante Albanta Staff

We rely on quality Italian cuisine ranging from ancestors, pastas, pizzas and genuinely Italian desserts all homemade. Within our facilities we have a large garden with children's area for the whole family and where you can have a drink, enjoy the views a
Stayed in the Granada Palace hotel next door to it so this restaurant was really close. We ordered too much but the nice waiter put us right. Lovely food, ravioli with pear in it was something else. No time pressure to move on but service can be a bit slow when its busy.A slight problem was that we're used to eating at 17.30 at home but the restaurant didn't open till 20.00 so we were starving.

We ate here twice in the past 2 months. It was a great experience both times. If you stay at the bar or at the tables near the entrance, you will get free tapas with every drink, in addition to the food you order. You will not get the tapas if you sit at the dining room. All food was well prepared. The service was very attentive. The only problem is that the place is difficult to find (even with the aid of google maps!). I would say they offer excellent quality for the price they charge.

We are a small restaurant , which offers a different cuisine with a touch of creativity.
We really enjoyed our Sunday evening meal with our two well-behaved children. The homemade bread was warm and delicious as was the goat's cheese and potato starter. The veal steak was extremely tasty and tender and a very reasonable price. As was a beef steak on a previous occasion. The pasta was sublime. We took away most of the paella which was much better the next day when the flavour had had time to come out. I will order their more innovative dishes next time, I think it's their specialty. I wish we had had room for dessert! The service was in English as was the menu. Very informative and helpful. We look forward to our next time! Afterwards, I would recommend a nightcap at Barberia in Monachil pueblo, a 5 minute drive further on from the Monachil barrio, where Lucuma is, especially their coffee with a piece of dark chocolate at the bottom!Thank you so much for your opinion. We hope you come back soon.

This is a family run restaurant higher up in the hills just on the outskirts of Granada. You have indoor and outdoor seating, The waiters are fast and the food is great. I dedicated to only the appertizers and picked from my friends plates The flavoring in the steaks was a little light but you can salt because lot of places in Granada are heavy handed with the salt

We had lunch here on our way back to the shore after visiting Alhambra. The lunch included bread, wine appetizer, salad, a pork entree and dessert. The meal was very good, the atmosphere very nice and the facility was very clean. We recommend this place!

We visited Taberna la Guardilla twice during our stay in Granada and really enjoyed ourselves both times. The garden setting is lovely. Indoors looked very comfortable too, decor is on the less traditional side and looked welcoming. On Easter Sunday a group of 12 of us ranging in age from 40s to late 70s went for the barbecue lunch to celebrate my birthday. It was great fun. The food was plentiful, seasonal and cooked to perfection. Service was spot on and the atmosphere very friendly and relaxed. On another occasion 4 of us went for a casual weekday lunch and had the same great experience. I highly recommend a trip to Monacil for the beautiful scenery and a stop for lunch at La Guardilla. If you like your food tasty, fresh, seasonal and with no fuss you'll love it. If you're veggie or vegan, like most places in this region, better phone ahead and if your Spanish isn't up to scratch, have your phrase book at the ready!

New concept of tavern & abacerÃa in which like the tastes the local producers more select and organic, from cheeses, chacinas, ham, tapas and typical Spanish cuisine. Also available as a shop all this wide range of products you can buy to take home.
Best food ever. Great atmosphere with hanging legs and sausage mixed with the liquor bottles. The friendly wait staff speak English.Going to a place like this full of locals, and eating memorable food is the type of thing that makes our trip special. We stay in Granada 3 nights and I plan to be here every day before 4:30 for more of this great food. The same building has a very nice hotel so we don't have to go far to get this fantastic food. Be sure to try the tuna toast! The salmon toast is good as well.Thank you very much for leaving your comment on this website. We are very grateful that you have enjoyed. We hope you enjoy the rest of your trip as much as in "Origen" restaurant

We were a party of 4 celebrating an important family event. We found out about this restaurant through Bib Gourmand Michelin and Trip Advisor comments, and decided to try it rather than use other restaurants we are familiar with in Granada. We were not at all disappointed. The welcome we received on reaching the restaurant was very good (most welcome as our Sat Nav seemed incapable of getting us to the right bit of Monachil!). The general atmosphere of the dining room was very pleasant and attractive, and the waitress most helpful. The food was excellent - beautifully prepared and presented, and full of flavour. The menu choice is limited, but of quite exceptional quality with a strong emphasis on local produce. Portion sizes are large, so for a party of 4 as we were it would probably have been sensible to choose 2 or 3 starters to share. As main courses, two of our party had steaks, and the other 2 fish - all felt they were of very high quality. The wine list was good, and not overpriced. I think reservations are necessary and whilst there was an English menu, the staff do not speak much English, so try your Spanish!!! Strongly recommended. We most certainly will go again.
