There’s an Arabic inscription that captures the essence of Granada in a few words: “There is nothing so sad as to be blind in Granada.” The perspicacity of this declaration becomes obvious as soon as you penetrate the austere walls of the Alhambra and take in the full majesty of the architecture, carvings and fountains of the Nasrid palaces. Your ticket (which should be bought well in advance following the instructions on the attraction’s website) also affords entry to the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V and to the exquisite gardens of the Generalife. If you are celebrating a special event, or are in the market for a splurge, you can stay in the lovely Parador, right on site. Make your way down into the city via the atmospheric old quarter of the Albaicin, with its tiny craft shops and restaurants, and head for the Cathedral and Royal Chapel. Also plan a visit to the crypt for the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella, the instigators of Spain’s imperial adventures to the New World and beyond. It’s worth making the short journey out of town to visit the Monasterio Cartuja, a fabulous Carthusian monastery in the baroque style. Admirers of the poet Lorca should make the effort to visit the Casa-Museo Federico Garcia Lorca in Fuente Vaqueros, about 11 miles from the city centre.

Stayed at Zurita Pension with our family. The owner Javier was great he recommended the best and most reasonable places to eat. The pension has all the comforts of home: AC, WIFI, coffee, tea, juice and pastries. The rooms are comfortable and the pension is in an ideal location. Won’t stay anywhere else, we felt right at home. Thanks for making our vacation memorable.

Such a beautiful little hotel and in a perfect location for exploring Grenada, especially the Alhambra Palace, as it is on the paved road leading up to the main paths up to the Palace. Also has some private parking (extra charge) which made it so easy when we arrived - we dropped the bags then went to park close by, otherwise it would have meant finding parking elsewhere and that's not an easy task in Grenada. Very good value cafe just over the road for breakfast/lunch too. Room was beautiful and bed very comfy. Stairway is a real wow factor too! Gorgeous old building with so much character.

We arrived before our check in time and were made very welcome by the receptionist who introduced us to the owner. We were shown our room, a double with two single beds, tv, a/c and wardrobe. The ensuite was clean and adequate. The price for the summer was very reasonable and we had a wonderful time at the end of the night in the bar. A few words of Spanish help immensely. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hostel Mari is a familiar pension that offers 8 rooms, singles, twins and doubles with simple bath ensuite, but you can find bathroom complet to share, kitchen, social room with tv and internet conexion. Just opposite the Spa, you can relax in our terrace and ejoy as well a nice and relaxing village. Come and discover Graena!
I was amazed by the looks of the village, like in a Mexican telenovela. Quiet, very sunny and somewhere behind the mountains. Somehow the way to this village reminded me of the Grand Canyon. The pension is cute, very clean and the owner Mari is a great woman, very nice and friendly. She is a person you can even hang out with. :) The only thing we didnt like was the lack of light in the rooms, since there were no windows. It was even a bit cold inside.

Hostal La Torre, newly opened and remodeled in 2018, located 50 meters from the beach Tesorillo, Almuñecar, Granada. We offer everything you need to enjoy your holiday, relax, entertainment and wonderful views. We have spacious rooms with air conditioning, heating, fully equipped independent bathrooms, with general cleaning service, oceanfront, front and side.
The room we had was on the first floor with a nice terrace. There are a few rooms on the ground floor but the ones that have a terrace are on the first floor. The room was quite large & the bathroom a good size. There is a dining room on the ground floor with an outside terrace as well.

Very, very cheap - you get what you pay for. The bed is hard and uncomfortable, bathroom very small, very basic furniture provided, barely enough space in the room to walk around the bed. It was also quite noisy being just off the main road. The location is excellent however, walking distance to everything. For €30 euro a night, it was sort of worth it, but I wouldn't ever stay there again. 2 stars.
