Discover Restaurants offering the best Mediterranean food in Gorizia, Province of Gorizia, Italy. Gorizia [ɡoˈrittsja] listen (help·info) (Slovene: Gorica, colloquially stara Gorica 'old Gorizia', German: Görz, Friulian: Guriza) is a town and comune in northeastern Italy, in the autonomous region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is located at the foot of the Julian Alps, bordering Slovenia. It is the capital of the Province of Gorizia and a local center of tourism, industry, and commerce. Since 1947, a twin town of Nova Gorica has developed on the other side of the modern-day Italian–Slovenian border. The entire region was subject to territorial dispute between Italy and Yugoslavia after World War II: after the new boundaries were established in 1947 and the old town was left to Italy, Nova Gorica was built on the Yugoslav side. Taken together, the two towns constitute a conurbation, which also includes the Slovenian municipality of Šempeter-Vrtojba. Since May 2011, these three towns are joined in a common trans-border metropolitan zone, administered by a joint administration board.

me and my girlfriend stayed there for few days. you can also book a nice room, its both a small hotel and a restaurant. the rooms are very nice and cozy, its all you really need.the restaurant is the main part, if you are a fan of seafood, then there probably isn't a better place in the world for you then this right here. the food is most importantly fresh, and that is telling you a LOT. but that is then taken to the next level by the cooks who really do know what they are doing. fantastic work on the taste and presentation of the meal.i really can't recommend this restaurant enough. the host is a great guy which will see to it that you are not just a walk in money, but will treat you as a friend. what more can you ask? nothing ^^

Bistrot con menù alla carta di pesce e piatto veloci del giorno a pranzo con una sono adibita ad aperitivo con cicchetti e tartine di prosciutto, carne, verdure e pesce
If you want to impress your spouse Moscardino is an excellent decision. The venue is located in the very heart of Gorica/Gorizia. You can choose seating outside in the square or inside. This place used to be a pharmacy but it was refurbished with style. The minimalistic design enhances your dining experience. The food was very good and the prices are moderate. The menu is quite short which I see as an advantage. Quality over quantity. Everything we had chosen was nourishing for our palates. Even the fried fish plate which I opposed to choose in the beginning but was talked into it by my spouse and the owner. I definitely encourage you to follow the waiter's/owner's advice in regards to food choices. The desert could be a bit better but it definitely didn't spoil the overall experience, especially because the digestivo on the house that followed was exquisite. The house wine, the friulano from Äedad/Cividale is a very decent choice. So if you don't drink much a 'quartino' (1/4 l) might be enough to accompany your fish. Otherwise they have a wide choice of local wine. After all the owner, Giorgio, runs also the wine bar next door.

When l'm in my county I like try the new restaurants or old ones that changed the manager. This is one of them, placed just outside of downtown, it's in the shadow of the castle not so far from the border with Slovenia. We went there for lunch, we took entries, main course and dessert, they were well presented and with a good taste, the wine from the house was on line with the tradition of the Collio, definitely good. The bill was light, less then 20 â¬/person, and the staff gave us a nice sorbetto free of charge.

After reading a good review in newspaper we choose this restaurant for Friday 's launch. We arrived at 12.30 sharp only to find restaurant closed for lunch. We even phoned the restaurant but they just confirm that they are closed. Working hours on TripAdvisor and on the entrance of the restaurant were wrong. Next time? Not likely.

The Real Neapolitan Pizza And Italian Cuisine Only Quality Products Professionalism And Tradition Since 1935
From Italy I wanted to have another last pizza and that was why I had a choice in this place. The place is in the center of the Italian part of Gorizia near the main road, parking is easy on any side street. Pizza delivery is very generous and there is also a daily menu of specialties to choose from. The served pizza was great, bringing the perfect quality hoped for both the pasta and the condiments and the baking.I got the pizza in about 15 minutes. The place is apparently a favorite among locals, as many guests are welcomed as friends, so it is likely that the high quality is constant.Everyone is recommended to place a quality pizza in the area at a good value for money.

positive TA reports are correct, and corroborated by 'local knowledge'; it's a pleasant restaurant - quite spacious - with friendly and attentive service, a diverse menu and good food, including tasty regional specialities. Decidedly better than Alla Luna, which for some reason is rated rather higher.

Pizza was okay but nothing special. They have a big bread oven and the "cook" was making five at a time. The 4 pizzas arrived to our table almost at the same time. Beer was also good, austrian or german, not too heavy, went perfectly with the pizza. The desert was also ok but then again nothing special - would have helped if it was fresh. I would deffinitely recomend for families or for someone who wants to try something new in the area...
Gorizia Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Gorizia
The hotel and casino have a very nice à la carte restaurant, quite unexpectedly. Top class service, very nice food, great Slovenian wine. The somewhat oldfashioned atmosphere is something I like (so do not expect anything trendy here). I spent a very pleasant evening here. My bill amounted to a mere 35 EUR, including half a bottle of truly magnificent Slovenian wine. Yes, this is a place to return to.
