Very crowdy lunch the day after Easter! Even under pressure the food quality was extremely good. I choose Baccalà alla vicentina and a Frico...it was not exactly a light couple...but they were delicious. Pay attention to the baked Palacinka: it looks so nice to make you forget its vulcano-hot temperature! Enjoy!

Myself and my husband have been here many times during our weekend breaks in friuli. This place is serious for wine lovers. They have a huge, very well priced list of local wines, by the glass or by bottle and it gives you a chance to know less well known producers. Service is rapid and effective. They also have a small food menu.

We were in Cormons whilst walking the Alpe Adria trail. A restaurant with a name like 'Waiting for Galndalf' just has to be visited. It is the most superb name I have ever come across! The name is backed up with an excellent choice of draft real ale coupled with some excellent burgers. We had a great evening here, sitting outside in a good atmosphere. The service was friendly and fun. I would have no hesitation in visiting again if ever in Cormons.

+ basic but really nice place to sit in the garden surounded by wineyards- food is definitely overpriced given the quality - especially side-orders are bland and greasy:-( was nice and good value years ago but apparently turning into a tourist trap already

We stopped off here by chance on Sunday afternoon. The place was totally packed but we managed to get a table for 2 outside and I'm so glad we did. The service is so friendly and it was extremely efficient too, especially considering the amount of guests they had. We had some cold meats and cheeses as a starter which was fully satisfying. Then i had the pasticcio of asparagus which was very, very tasty and my husband took blecs (typical friulian pasta) with cheese, which he adored. Then we took a frico and a portion of potatoes...both fantastic. My husband finally took the palacinka with nutella. A simple crepe but again well prepared and tasty. We also had a litre of house wine (very enjoyable), a litre of water, a coffee and two digestive drinks...all for 39 euros. Unbelievable value for such a lovely and filling meal in a beautiful setting with a lovely smiling waitress. I can't wait to come back!

More formal than many places but we were warmly welcomed and the service was attentive. Our lunch was, in a word, sublime. Worthy of the raves.

We are two Australian couples of Italian background and my cousin and myself mother and father came from Capriva and Cormons. We arrived to eat lunch here at closing time. Instead of turning us away the owner and cook welcomed us into the restaurant and cooked us your typical fruilano food (frico, proscuitto and polenta), together with the amazing wines from this area. Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I would go back to this restaurant if I am ever back in Coromons

In the heart of Collio, the restaurant is located in a building dating from 1700, with typical Cormonese architectonical structure. It has a delightful terrace-garden. The cuisine is inspired by Central European cooking and of high quality. Wide wine choi
We were a party of six, and we tried a couple of different dishes. For the starter we took prosciutto San Daniele and tonno battuto. Both delicious. Then we took orzotto and blecks with San Daniele & funghi porcini. Blecks were fantastic, much more favorable than orzotto. The best dish of the dinner in my opinion. As main we took ravioli and veal. The filling in the raviloi was tasteful a bit too dry. If it was for my taste, I would never grill ravioli, because grilled pasta becomes bitter. The deserts were good, the strawberry tiramisu better than the almond cannoli. All over, a tasteful dinner with a fantastic white Jermann.
The hotel and casino have a very nice à la carte restaurant, quite unexpectedly. Top class service, very nice food, great Slovenian wine. The somewhat oldfashioned atmosphere is something I like (so do not expect anything trendy here). I spent a very pleasant evening here. My bill amounted to a mere 35 EUR, including half a bottle of truly magnificent Slovenian wine. Yes, this is a place to return to.
