Just going for a look around Pals, wanted to take a nice coffee. I was attracted by the amazing expositor of pastries. So I parked the car, and went straight inside the Restaurant. If you have a look inside the Rest. you can fastly identify that we are talking about a high level restaurant. From the interior decor, to the selection of Italian real pastries. Once I have ordered the coffee, I asked for a bottle of water. The owner easily understood what I meant with water. He served me a glass mineral water, as real coffee bars do in Italy. So, as the coffee tradition says, I "could" clean any other flavors I had in my mouth, and enjoy its flavor. The pastries, as it look like were outstanding. Tried the "cornetto alla nutella", exactly the same taste I receive on my often escapes to Sorrento (NAPLES). Left the place, looking forward to come back an buy a real homemade panettone. And of course, enjoy a lovely dinner or summer lunch with my wife and other relatives may want to join. I was lucky to be able to chat and share opinions on what should a real food mean with an often guest from and with the owners. Definitely, all three had the same concept idea of what a meal means, what should the restaurants offer. Products of high quality, if you cannot get those, do not use any other similar type of primary product. Quality should be on top. And that's what they do every night , when they open their restaurant. Or at every pastry you, bring you back to those times where everything was handy made, avoiding any type of big industry ingredient.

Apart from the meeter and greeter, who obviously never attended charm-school, this is a great restaurant. Very interesting location in the centre of town with an open courtyard or covered tables overlooking. Good menu choices and a unique pizza style and everything reasonably priced. Excellent waiter and the service was quick.

We had sallads, pizzas and nachos. Sallad was ok, but with way too much union. The cheese on the pizzas was terrible. The nachos were not crispy, they were soft and old and the sauces must have been pre-made from Lidl. Service was ok, but this place is not to be recommended. We always apreciate an opinion, thank you very much.We are so sorry that the day you visited our restaurant, the weather was not so good, we had the indoors full of people, so you had to sit down outside

It's surprising that there are very few pizza restaurants on the Emporda coastline and even more surprising that most of them can't make a decent pizza. In Begur there's Pizzeta, but their pizzas, although quite tasty, aren't very authentic...for a start they're small and square! Then there's La Pasta on the promenade in Llafranc. They do serve some good thin crust pizzas but some are let down by the quality of the ingredients. No, if you want a true thin crust, 12 inch, authentic pizza made with the tastiest ingredients you have only one choice, El Pati in Pals. You can dine in, their courtyard terrace is very nice, or you can takeaway, although they don't deliver. You won't get better in the Emporda region believe me! Just remember that outside the summer season they only open in the evenings from Thursday to Sunday.

Been coming to the Costa Brava for years and have to say this has to be the worst meal I've ever had. Very unfriendly hostess. Restaurant was empty, but turned up her nose when we said we hadn't booked a table. The waitresses serving us were very nice however. Pizza was ok, but OMG the ribs were tough as old boots, no sauce on them whatsoever and the 2 pasta dishes were appalling. I don't think the sauce could even have been out of a bottle it was that bad. I was actually too nervous go eat the seafood in the pasta for fear of getting ill. Even the Rosé was rough. I've had nicer â¬2 bottles fro Lidl. We had just arrived and were tired after an early start and wanted somewhere local for our first night, but by God was I glad we had hired a car. So many beautiful restaurants nearby, such a shame we went here. Was even worse as it was my 8 year old's birthday :-(

We ate on the evening and ate inside. The outside terrace is very popular in the summer months. The service was reasonably quick and friendly. The food was tasty and well presented. Please note the the headline prices on the menu do not include the 10% vat. Which is added to the bill.

Very helpful and polite waitress, managed to get a table of 6 for us without a booking on a busy evening (to be fair I imagine most of their evenings are busy).. The pizzas and wine were fantastic, we also shared a few side salads which were lovely. I would definitely recommend the bolognese pizza. At the end of the meal we were given complimentary limoncello. Can't wait to return here when we come back to Pals next year.
