During the Roman rule it was named Blanda or Blandae. It is known as the "Gateway to the Costa Brava". Its coast is part of the Costa Brava, which stretches from Blanes up to the French border. The township is 18.29 km². Blanes is a popular tourist town, and it is known for the Concurs de Focs d'Artifici during the Santa Anna festival; this event includes a lot of fireworks. Other places of interest include a botanical gardens, coves, such as the Cala Bona, and beaches which are surrounded by mountains.

Visited today for a bite, really easy going very helpful waiter.Six dishes, 1 beer and water later we were stuffed and extremely pleased we had chosen this restaurant. âThe address for this restaurant is incorrect as it is on the front near to the port. We had tried to find the day before but only found it late on, well worth a visit.

Completely outside the tourist area we wanted to try B & B. Not large, but cozy interior and friendly service. The server reads out the dishes. We would like to read the dishes ourselves so we would not feel rushed to decide what to order. Daily menu of the week ⬠12 for 3 course pre olives and wine and water. Macaroni tastes fine, though the portion slightly on the meager side, especially if we see are there is being served a bigger portion on another table. Small peppers stuffed with cod in a delicious fish sauce and cheese is delicious. This dish goes back almost clean. Main course: black paella. Good flavor and reasonably well filled with seafood. Freshly cooked served in a pan. My wife takes the sardines. Fresh, good flavor, though it is hard to mess up. Desserts are good quality and own kitchen, you can taste it. We end with a delicious coffee and are very satisfied. We will be back again

The cuisine is excellent. We had vegan Russian salad, Patatas bravas with vegan sauce, vegan tortilla de patata, vegan chorizo, vegan squid rings and vegan cheese cake! It was excellent! If it wasnât written in the menu that it was vegan, I would have never guessed! The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is excellent. We will definitely return. Many thanks to Sa Capça staff!

Nice place! Nice servings! Good staff!Delicious calamari fritti, amazing mixture of sorted croquettes (squid ink, cheese, vegetables, ham,etc... they just come... You can't order the one's you want), great bread toasts of local coca bread... Amazing bravas potatoes and a good selections of wines as well as good music to enjoy your time there! Some days a bit windy... But that's life in front of the sea!
