Things to do in Cassa de la Selva
Rostisseria Ca La Pilar is a rotisserie with small grocery store. They are locally famous for the wood spit roast chicken and I must say that it's the best spit roast chicken I've ever had. Equally worth mentioning are the chicken nuggets, made with the same meat. Of course this is a rotisserie, not a starred restaurant - but they deserve five stars for what they do. A totally unassuming place serving two absolutely fabulous dishes, to go.

Chose this bistro from reviews and emphasis on fresh ingredients, with good vegetarian options. Arrived without a reservation, at a busy lunchtime. The limited number of street tables were occupied, so we had an aperitif inside, and were then taken to an outside table after only about 10 minutes. Food excellent, and good value. Will go again, next time in Girona - i.e. next week.Thank you for you opinion! We hope to see you again.

We cycled to La Fabrica this time around. It still has great coffee and pastries and beautiful bicycles standing outside. Still in the beautiful old city of Girona with its wonderful character. We didnt see any famous pro cyclists. Its still brilliant three years after we first went.

On our trip while passing through Llagostera we stopped at a lovely, well presented cafeteria and sat in a charming garden lounge area. We chose to go with simple chicken burger meal and patatas bravas from the menu and we were positively surprised with beautifully presented, full of flavour burgers nestled on a bed of cheese&carmelised onion that were just melting in our mouths, in a lightly toasted bun. Patatas bravas came with delicious home made sauces. Truly authentic Catalan cooking, best we had so far! Staff were extremely friendly even tho they were super busy. We will definitely stop here next time. Highly recommended to the travelers and the locals!
