A very friendly couple own this restaurant. It only has three tables and you pick your dishes from a case in the back of the room. The choices were varied and attractive enough to make you want to order more than you could possibly eat. We had the Paella, which was quite good, and the stuffed squid. The husband spoke several languages, including French, Spanish, English, and Russian. The wife didn't speak English but was very patient with our clunky Spanish and pointing. The prices were moderate and the experience was fantastic and locally genuine. There are many restaurants in Besalu, all packed with tourists. This felt more out of the way and like a breath of reality. We saw a number of people take food to go as well.

We went to lunch with a supplier, local and very freshly decorated, very elegant.We ate a menu which had snacks first and second pick something.All good, maybe try to improve a prawn starter that are llagostinera take that cold sauce Rosa, good, but not at the level of the other dishes. Except that, for my point of view, the rest very good.One of the typical dishes are mussels !! Would 15 days past them !! The star dish.Price correct. For 25/30 ⬠you can make a good meal. We were visiting Catalonia for two days and never knew was the Maryâs Assupmtion day so Public Holiday and nearly everything closed even most restaurants !We even tried Girona on that day and the whole place was like a Ghost City on that day! Went back to Banyoles and just searching streets and TripAdvisors simultaneously ! We just sighted this Gastro Pub and looked cool so stopped . And were very pleased we did. We mainly had burgers and some side dishes and never could imagine can have so many twists the a burger meal , and be so delicious!
