Chose a Catalan Paella for my meal here and was expecting the usual saffron version. However the Catalan version is flavoured with squid ink and although it doesn't look appetising it was delicious and tasted better than any other paella I've ever eaten. Gorgeous setting outdoors right on the beach with the waves lapping. Was good value but check the bill. We had two additional items added ( by mistake?)

Five friends have taken a nice dinner, the gastronomic menu. The five starters were good, specially the scallop. The second, a Norway lobster and cuttlefish "suquet" a traditional catalan fishermen soup with stewed potatoes, good. Our dessert choice was "Chocolate sin", outstanding. Without wine, 28 euros per person!!! Do not doubt, try it!
We were en route to Barcelona from France and had a change of train in Port Bou. The station snack bar was closed so where to go? We left the station via a lot of steep steps which led into an equally steep street. Bar Timbale is the first one on the left. There is a level deck with outdoor seating so sat outside in the early spring sunshine. We just had a sandwich and a drink. The bread was very fresh and the fillings good. This is a bar for locals as most people passing in the street stopped for a chat with whoever was there. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. If we ever have to change trains in Port Bou again we will definitely return!

We used Bar Casa David a couple of times while we vacationed in nearby Cerbere. The bar is used by a mixed crowd of people, both locals and non-locals / holiday makers. We had drinks while enjoying the laid back and lively atmosphere on the square. The service is fine, the one thing we think we noticed though is that locals are more likely to be offered nibbles (olives, nuts, etc.) with their drinks, which does not seem fair. But perhaps it was a one-off, happy to be proven wrong the next time we visit.Thank you!!!

The guy running that joint is very friendly, the dishes are basic and good. Enjoy a short stopover on your way or pleasant hours on end and the whole variety of small or bigger dishes from the small kitchen. It is a very nice spot at an unique place.

Snack Bar Pop 2000 is in a quiet tree-covered square just off the beach-front street. This is a welcome respite from the heat of direct sunlight. Most of the seating is outside, in a pleasant quiet spot, just a minute's walk from the beach area.We arrived in Cerbere tired and hungry in mid afternoon when every restaurant was closed and the only sign of life was on the beautiful and surprisingly uncrowded beach, a rare sight in the South of France. We could not even find an open shop to sell us an ice cream to put off the hunger pangs. At Snack Bar Pop 2000 we found a very helpful staff member who was cleaning up after the lunch time trade. She explained that since they were already closed they could not prepare anything for us, but she took us through the menu and between us we could identify enough pre-prepared items to satisfy our hunger. This she served to us along with coffee so we were sorted. If I ever open a business serving food my first priority will be to find staff who know the meaning of good service. To me, it is everything. This may be a modest cafe but its customer service alone is worth returning for.

Best restaurant I have ever been!! Chef Paco Perez is a genious. He transmit the essence and flavor of Costa Brava and Llança into a extraordinary 25 dishes menu. Creative cuisine full of sences and innovate tastes. Fantastic view over Llança water front. Well acomodated on a round table. Very professional staff. Hugh wine list

Having had tapas in Spain only a couple of times and being disappointed, I thought we would try again. Choosing Riky's after reading the TA reviews, I was glad we did. The tapas were really tasty, freshly cooked (not the case in other places I have been) and generous portions. The waiter was so helpful I think he may be the owner. He spoke perfect English but politely indulged me with my orering in Spanish, I like to try! We were sat outside to enjoy the view but then the wind changed and it got chilly. He came out after a couple of minutes and invited us to take a window table inside. He really made us feel very welcome. Its about an hours drive but I look forward to returning when next in the area.

We came with our 8 year old before they started getting busy for the dinner rush. Had a fantastic 3 course meal with sangria and it was great value and delicious. If you order the set meal, the mussels and calamari were very fresh, simple and good! Kids menu is great too! Lots to choose from. Many restaurants we go to, they forget about something we ask for but this place is fast and friendly. Donât expect a Michelin star restaurant. But if youâre looking for family friendly, superb value and plenty of good food, come here.We have 3 Michelin stars!!! Noooo, just kidding ;-) We just want that you are happy in La Gritta!Thank you very much for your great opinion and see you very soon. La Gritta
