Had lunch here before flying to Bristol. Typical Catalan cooking in a friendly amd welcoming family restaurant. Menu changes daily and is only 10.50⬠for 3 courses, wine, water, bread and coffee included. If you like snails, you can also have a dozen of different preparations a la carte and many other regional specialities besides. Lunch is from 13:00 - 15:00 and they also serve breakfast and evening meals. Very popular with the locals, but plenty of tables. Closed Wednesdays. On the far side of the airport from the normal approach, so would recommend using a GPS to get you there and, more importantly, to the airport to catch your plane>

Restaurante gastronómico con carta de temporada y cocina tradicional con toques modernos. Para todos los públicos
This place is tucked away in an old house at the outskirts of the town with a tranquil view of the country side. The guys running this place surly like what they do they make you feel very welcomed as a guest. The food is a little on the experimental side and not many of the dishes did really rock my world. In short, this is where you go if you're into trying new stuff, not if you're hungry. Still I'd like to go back and try the yellow gazpacho. They're also playing around with some Indian dishes - but if this is your preference you'd be better of at your local curry place.I'd come again.

The cuisine is a mixture of Catalan and Meditteranean; good choice of both meat and fish dishes on the menu. Something for everyone. There were four of us and each one ordered something different and all four dishes were of excellent quality and the portions were a good size. The fish was cooked just right and very flavorsome. The size of the steaks was impressive and melt-in-the-mouth. Save room for the desserts: the signature Parrufu dessert (huge home-made profiteroles) are simply delicious. The staff were polite and helpful. Lovely old photos of Hostalric hanging on the walls. Will definitely be back!

In Summer or Winter (not November), the Taberna at La Granota is a gem. The menu consists of good typical International food, with a strong Catalan and seasonal tendency. It is extensive (grouped under snacks/starters, omelettes, meat dishes) and very reasonably priced. In fact, the high-quality ice-creams and afters are the best-priced for a long way around. It's well worth noting the address, because the Taberna is one of only two restaurants we know (putting aside hotels and fast-food places) which serves meals at any hour of day from 13.00 right through to 23.00. No need to anxiously watch the clock as you meet the odd slow-moving tractor as you approach via the NII/A2 or the C63! La Granota is on the intersection of these two roads, with its own turning off the roundabout, and just north of Junction 9 on the AP-7.We've never known the staff anything other than friendly and helpful. Josep and his daughter Carme have run it efficiently and without drama for as long as we have been living nearby (i.e for at least 10 years - and no doubt longer), and their staff are equally welcoming. In Summer, meals are served in the fresh air under a distinctive arched roof, which formerly must have been a shelter for farm animals. A fountain splashes away, and the Busy Lizzies smile. In Winter, La Taberna is cosy and rustic. This restaurant is very popular with families, whether in small numbers or for their celebrations, and also with business people for whatever negotiations or machinations they wish to undertake in a delightful environment. It is closed on Tuesdays and all of November.

[Correct name: La Llotja de Sils] I've had a couple of Sunday lunches (20⬠menu) here. It's a stylish place, though not over formal. The menu is well chosen and interesting. Yesterday I had snails (36) with oil, salt and pepper --very tasty and not overwhelmed by the flavouring. My wife had pasta with interesting local mushrooms: simple and garlicky. Then "secret de porc" (pork steak) with a light creamy sauce and a garnish of grilled vegetables, cooked just right. Dessert: I had mascarpone with a few berries; my wife had the crema catalana (bigger than she needed). We chose just water to drink. A fine eating experience.

We arrived when the restaurant was supposed to be opened since a while according to the info on the internet, yet 6 minutes before 8pm, so the waitress told us to leave and come again on time(!) which we did. Although the restaurant was completely empty, she did assign us a certain table with no free choice. We have ordered a menu composed of starter/main dish/desert/beverage as we have seen at other places in different cities in Spain. The only difference was the price which was considerably higher than elsewhere.

We have now been to this place twice. We are a challenging group of 25 people from 87 years old to a 1 year old and this place delivers every time. I am seriously impressed with how they manage to serve us quickly, with great food and with great service. The food impressed us all!! You can imagine that with that many people you have a wide range of likes and dislikes yet, they miraculously did it all!! So much so that we came back again and I am sure we will be back another time before our week vacation is over. Food is great and local and fresh! The fish, the squid on the grill, the veggies on the grill... it all is fabulous!! Highly recommend it!!
