The food here is never bad but nor is it exceptional. The price is reasonable and the recently redecorated restaurant is attractive. Everyone is served a fresh salad before the meal which is a nice touch. The cuisine is Catalan and there is always fish on the menu for those who don't want meat. The dishes are simple and the house wine is indeterminate as it comes in a glass bottle. Good place for family meals.

We had an excellent lunch here today ably assisted by a friendly and helpful Bulgarian waiter who kindly explained the Catalan menu to us.All the previous comments about inspired and inventive cooking are to be believed. Even the olive tapas before the lunch were a creation. 3 lovely courses including bread, wine and water came to â¬16 per head. Terrific value. I unhesitatingly recommend this place.

Great tapas, great beers and the best possible service. Simply donât miss the opportunity to visit Hot Dog whenever you are close to Sant Feliu de GuÃxols. And donât be fooled by the name ...

The service was good. Small amount of food. I had the stuffed cod and it was not much. The visual of the fish head on the plate was interesting way to serve.

Restaurante familiar, comida casera, pescados, carnes, paellas. Restaurante abierto de Abril a final de Septiembre.
So many good reviews, but so very disappointing in reality. Every thing you touch is a bit sticky, not well maintained, I guess youâd say typical touristic restaurant just out to make a buck from the seasonal trade. Had salad (no dressing) and mussels for starters, nothing special although my wife always enjoys fresh mussels so at least she was happy with the starter. Canât say an over cooked piece of asparagus had any place on my salad, but apparently they thought different. Mains was rabbit from the grill (nothing special according to my wife), and a rump steak that wasnât a rump steak. Probably an error in translation to English (although it was also wrong in both German and French). Rump doesnât have a bone in it, this was a bone-in sirloin, that was very rare when I specifically asked for medium. I sent it back, and it returned with the original sides (that were now very cold). Lots of smokers either side of us added to our woes, some of them âinterestingâ clientele to say the least. We will not return, despite the friendly service from a Latvian lady, and the reasonable prices and good wine.

We arrived late but were welcomed with a smile and warm welcome. Food was wonderful and waiters truly cared for our experience. Delicious spanish food with lots and lots of sea-food. Great house wine, cozy setting and attentive service. Sadly they did not speak any English but we got along just well without any misunderstandings. Value for quality - top.I can definitely recommend this place.

Local charming in the center of Sant Feliu de Guixols, specialized in vermouth, appetizers, wines and gastronomic tapas.
We stopped here âon specâ for lunch today and were so glad we did. We chose one of the set tapas menus, which was excellent value and included wine or vermouth, and we added cod croquettes (superb) and their own style of patatas bravas, which were not what we expected, but were just wonderful. Sitting outside in the street was great, as a small band played and boys played football. Best of all was the friendly, really helpful service from the lady who I assume is the owner, who told us about the food and recommended a lovely vermouth for us to try - thank you. Recommended without hesitation - seek it out, or if you find yourself passing, stop a while!thank you very much! We hope see you if you come back to St. Feliu.

An absoutely great restaurant - deservedly populareitblicals snd tourists. Josep and Stefanie explained the menu. Limited la carte but the 3 set menus are fantastic at 12.90, 17.90 and 23.90 (group) incl. 3 courses, wine, bread, water, coffee and taxes. They even ordered a taxi back to hotel for us even though it was their lunch rush. Hughly recommend the courgette cake, entrecote steak and mici (lamb and spiced pork sausages). Bread is traditional sour-dough rolls - wonderful with garlic mayo (allioli). Cannot say too many good things about this restaurant. P.S. they make their own limoncello.

Familiar restaurant with a large offer of little dishes and skewers . Spanish, French, Mediterranean and vegetarian kitchen
This is the mediterranean place one looks for when travelling the Costa. Great food, fairly priced, friendly (english speaking) staff in a nice terrace setup (or inside). What a location to share food with family and friends. We decided to return this week and enjoy this new restaurant again. Do make reservations as the place is already popular.(Oh, and they do have fantastic mojito's)Dear MRE007,Many thanks for your kind words! We are very pleased to learn that you enjoyed your visit.
