Visited here and had pizza and paposca. Both were fine and the menu had plenty of choice. Nice atmosphere. Wine by the bottle and a very nice Negroamaro priced at 8 euro. Service was warm and friendly and efficient.

On a trip back to Vieste, after searching and receiving a recommendation for a "Jazz bar" in our GPS, and seeing the outside we were very surprised. Very pleasant surprise. The place has two parts, the regular bar part and the restaurant which offers ample place inside or outside. The food is local, fresh and tasty. The mother makes several fixed dishes to choose from, from the counter, plus some others. We sat near two locals who for the last 11 years, in every vacation, come from an adajacnt village to eat their lunch in this restaurant. They drive 10-15 minutes every other lunch to eat there for 11 years!! And they right, the food is just good, very good. The locals agree and they fill the restaurant as well.I had the best Orecchiette, hand-made.We entered with no expectations and left very happy.

When you enter the restaurant it looks uninviting; simple tables and chairs, hardly anything on the wall, unpleasent light and a display case full of different types of meat. Initially you feel like you're at your local butcher. Then the 'butcher' welcomes you and guides you to his backgarden; a cosy and pleasent place. When you think everything is back to normal you're wrong. There is no menu. You are recommended to start with the anti pasta and you should follow the advice of your waiter. We shared one with the three of us which was more than sufficient. For the main course we were ordered to get back to the meat display case where we had to pick our liking. There the 'butcher' took our order and we returned to our table. In the corner of the back garden all ordered meat was bbq-ed/grilled. When our meat was served we noticed some miscommunication; we ordered some side-dishes at our waiter but they were served only when we asked him. I guess it's best to order all for the main course at the 'butcher'. Remarkably they only serve one kind of red wine and not even from Puglia (Montepulciano). The meat was prepared perfectly but a vegetarien leaves with an empty stomache. Overall we paid some EUR50 for the three of us.

Guiseppe from Pizzicato Eco B&B recommended this quiet, plain little pizzeria, across the road from our lodgings. When we arrived there was a children's party in progress in the lower part of the pizzeria, but rapidly we were supplied with excellent and copious ham and bresaiola antipasto, followed by two local specialities, a caciocavallo - flavoursome hard cooked cheese - and a poposcia paesana; and seldom can a combination of oven cooked bread, tomatoes and cheese have tasted better. The children's party had left as we ate our first course, and before we had finished an hour or so later no fewer than 30 other customers has also called, about ten for take awrays and the others to sit down, eat and chat . It's simple, it's very cheap the family who run it are extremely friendly and it's VERY satisfying -so much so that when it poured with rain two nights later we had no hesitation in going back there rather than walking up to the centre of town. When Tony heard we'd been meaning to go up, he at once offered to take us up in his car -we refused as he was still busy cooking pizzas, calzones and poposce.A thoroughly nice place.

We ate here for lunch and dinner. We had a lovely table overlooking the ocean for both meals and the owner was charming and spoke excellent English. For lunch we had starters of Spaghetti Vongoli (clams) and a large salami and cheese salad. Main courses were tuna served correctly, very pink in a crispy coating of almonds with a side order of crispy onions and In had excellent quality fillet of beef which really needed a sauce. It was very good but rather bland and they did not have mustard which might have lifted the flavour a little. The coffe was good as well.Lunch was 89 ⬠including 2 bottles of wine. Good value for the quality.Dinner consisted of 4 anti pasti whitebait, potato salad, calamari and mussels stuffed with a rather unusual dough with herbs.Starters were a local speciality of a pizza roll. Very nice indeed and very filling. The main for Val was a huge portion of 5 different fish, langustine and prawns. Very good indeed but really a tad too much. My main course was beef again. Not fillet but a very tender steak served sliced with parmesan and rosemary. To be frank for an English pallet the parmesan was too much and as with lunch a nice sauce would have been better but it was served very rare and was lovely meat.Dinner was 90 ⬠with 2 bottles of wine, 1 sparkling and 1 white.Lovely quality and an excellent wine list.

Trattotia Bracerie La Pignata is maybe hard to find but when you're at your table you can enjoy the magnificant view; amazing. We started with a antipasta della casa which was excellent. We shared one with three which was more than sufficient. The main courses were great but the side-dishes were served when the main dishes were cold. We can't understand why such a mistake was made whilst everything else was just fine (it was a slow evening with maybe 4 or 5 tables sold). Including a nice 1 ltr of red house wine we paid some EUR 20 per person. Overal aan nice diner but simply can't give the full 5 points.

We had dinner at La Lampara. The restaurant is at the beach and the view is beautiful. We had seafood, fish and also vegetarian dishes. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The local white wine was very nice. The people that work there are kind and friendly. The service was very good. Warmly recommended!

I've enjoyed the wonderful location of the Cantina il Trappeto along with my wife and kids. Warm welcome and comfortable accommodation for 4 small babies.Concerning food, very good quality...but poor quantity: more generous portions would turn out in a better quality/price ratio.Service all but fast...

Amazing pizza using local ingredients. Namely my favourite the caciocavallo local cheese. Make sure you call in a favourite with locals I have visited here since I was little as I have family from the village.
