We ended up eating at Artevino twice during our one week stay in Tuscany. This very small and quiet restaurant offers a varied menu and decent wine list, featuring many of the local wines. This is where you go for a long and leisurely dining experience as there seemed only to be one server but she was attentive and friendly. Each dish served was beautifully plated which made this a feast for the eyes. Definitely a delicious treat!

The outdoor seating area is beautiful and the service is impeccable. We tried a variety of starters. The stand outs were the pecorino flan with honey and the burrata with olives. For mains we tried veal ragout (bland), meatballs (tasty. It was cooked with orange which was unusual but worked well). This was a small dish, 6 small meatballs. The bisteca florentine was cooked rare as recommended by the chef. It was delicious but not for those who prefer cooked meat. The gnocchi was a group favourite. It's extremely rich and creamy. The truffles from the local region was used in the pasta. The chef shows the truffles before they are cooked, as well as the bisteca. It all added to the dining experience. The grilled bread was delicious, almost like Indian naan. Very romantic setting, excellent service, hit and miss dishes.

Charming restaurant with fantastic food. Staff spoke excellent English. We had a large party and were seated in a lovely back room (all to ourselves). I'll be dreaming about the squash blossoms and panna cotta for years to come. And the pork was so soft and moist - everything was amazing. Chef made pasta with olive oil and parmesean off the menu for my kids - so accomodating. Many many thanks for your kind review, it will be shared with the staff, we appreciate you loved our "cellar" in the back of the restaurant,as well as the menu' we served, Thank you very much indeed,I Malavvezzi.

Chef Alessio was wonderful to deal with from the moment I first contacted him. He made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. His food is divine - we enjoyed it thoroughly! Chef Alessio and his assistant/sous chef (Filippo) were such professionals and executed the dinner service perfectly at our villa (for a group of 8). Mille grazie!

Montebuoni The restaurant is a quiet corner in the hills around Florence that 'primarily' kidnapped some years ago Emilio Marchitti, chef established by a career of over 35 years, almost all spent in Tuscany at the best hotels and restaurants in Florence
A few kilometers outside Florence, this restaurant doesn't attract as many tourists as the ones in the city. The result is that the food is more refined, not mass-produced and made with attention to detail. Also the chef is not only in the kitchen but in the restaurant as well. He even came to meet us and shake hands when we arrived at the restaurant. We asked the chef about a dish on the menu but ordered something else. He then gave us a small plate to taste the dish we asked him about. Our main courses (fish) were delicious, generous, well cooked and full of flavor. After desert we asked for the bill, which was very reasonable for the meal and wine we had.

Born from the union of the local tradition and the lightness of the Mediterranean cuisine, something truly unique comes to Chianti, the restaurant LA VOLPENERA. A place where you can taste the specialties of Tuscan cuisine, made with healthy ingredients a
Convenient to eat at the hotel restaurant and food was ok... but over priced. Aubergine main dish was very very small 3 bits of aubergine and a bit of pepper and although tasty, didnât seem worth the 18 euros. 6 Euro for a side dish of beans also seemed a bit steep. Pasta dishes were nice but not outstanding and too small given the price. Tiramisu was EXCELLENT and definitely worth it (about 6-8 euro i think). Service was too slow at times- some staff were more attentive than others. Dear 604emilyl,I am happy to know that you ate well at our restaurant and that you enjoyed our place. Please allow me to reply to you that the note about the cost of the dishes is too general. Judging the price of the dishes without having known the recipe, the type of ingredients, the research for the details is a bit simplistic. I want to clarify that our restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch, light lunch and dinner and has a typical menu and it is located in a charming place surrounded by a beautiful countryside. The location is also very important. The price of roasted eggplant, spring sheep cheese, grilled tomato is ⬠14.00 and the beans are a typical product of our area and seasoned with extra virgin olive oil. I'm glad you enjoyed our dessert. Thanks for the attention.Best wishes,Beatrice

This is truly an exceptional find in a small Italian village. The atmosphere is a combination of fine dining and the feeling that you are with family. The hostess/server was wonderful. I knew just enough Italian and she knew just enough English that we were able to order. Chef Maria also visited with us to explain several dishes and to offer alternatives if we did not wish certain ingredients. The experience started when we were seated in the lovely dining room and served a cocktail and a bread soup - yes, it was a soup that tasted like fresh bread with olive oil and herbs. After this, we received our menus and sorted through many options from tasting menus to a la carte items. We chose the tasting menu of local Toscana dishes. One of the courses had liver, of which the hostess was sure to make us aware. She offered to substitute a lovely porcini mushroom salad - it was truly delicious. There were many courses, my favorite was the rabbit. We also had the wine parings. Each wine was from Tuscany and went very well with each dish. The dessert course was very surprising - a gorgonzola gelato with wafers. I enjoyed the salty/sweet/cheesy taste while my husband opted for the peach gelato version. The meal was about 125 Euros per person with the wine pairings and well worth it. This experience is for those willing to spend time over a meal - at least two hours or more - and those willing to try something different. Remember that these are local specialties, not something we are used to getting in the States. Overall this was a wonderful surprise and excellent representation of the area cuisine.
