Sabato a pranzo, in una deserta Vicchio, troviamo questo ristorante situato nella piazza principale, con tavoli anche allâaperto. Menu del giorno di pesce: prendiamo un primo (ravioli al nero ripieno di salmone e serviti con dadolata di Spada) e un secondo (polpo alla galiziana). Entrambi i piatti sono equilibrati seppur con qualche perdonabilissimo errore (la sfoglia del raviolo troppo spessa e il polpo morbido ma non morbidissimo e comunque assolutamente delizioso). A seguire una buonissima impepata di cozze servita con tanto pane (rarità ) peraltro già condito con aglio. Personale garbato e giovane. Locale pulitissimo. Prezzo ultra corretto. In poche parole complimenti, continuate cosi.

It's a lovely bar & ristopub run by a group of friends on the shores of the romantic Lake of Montelleri, in Vicchio. Very informal and cheap, the Barzello offers everyone the possibility to relax on chaises longues sipping a cocktail as well as to taste some incredibly tasty and healthy meals from a number of culinary traditions. Everything is home made. If you want to taste special dishes â like dishes with local mushrooms or the famous tortelli mugellani â it's best that you go there and reserve for the following day so that they'll prepare everything you want just for you. And at ridiculously low prices!!! I' Barzello is not advertised anywhere, you just have to find it yourself. Leave your car in Vicchio and ask for the "Lago" (lake), then you'll see this tiny bar close to the kids' playing ground (perfect location for families!!). Get there, relax, and see a piece of authentic Italy, where friendship, music, and laughters count more than money!

Don t ask me how the name of the restaurant,"Passaguai"translates into English.Just try their food.Simple,yet surprisingly innovativ,fresh,dekightful and..cheap.I enjoyed the Mozarella di Buffala,tartufo nero e prosciutto Toscan,the Battuta di manzo al cotello con pommodore secciand Oppure tartufo nero estivo.You can observe the young chef Christian Borchi through a glasspanel at work in his small kitchen and his business partner Simone Draisci,42 years old and a veteran of 29 years in the bar/restaurant business,including for years as the sommelier of the famous Florence eatery Enoteca Pinchiorri,three Michelin stars,is running the service,never forgetting to tell tourists that they should try his other restaurant,in nearby Vicchio,the Locanda Antica Porta di Levante.The courage of these young partners,to open a modern place in a rather dusty,traditional town, is awarded:the "Passaguai"is packed and these days enlarged.If you should travel to the Northern region of Tuscany,to towns like Vicchio,Barberino,Borgo San Lorenzo,you will be surprised how many new restaurants like .Maga Mago"are blossoming,or how famous the Oliotheka of Paolo Pasquali of the Villa Campestri has becomme internationally.You can feel the fresh wind of innovation,the courage of young ches,Italians,who do not echo the sad politicians,who predict,once again,the end of Italy.

This is a very nice pub great selections of beer from breweries local, Belgium, and German. Very fair prices, the burgers are awesome, mine had bacon and chicken nuggets in it! The beers are rotation bi weekly so you may not get the same awesome beers on tap but they do have a nice bottled selection to pick from. You can get the tap beer to go in 1lt bottles too!Would come back great place, the owner is very friendly and speaks English for those that are fluent in Italian.Thanks Darrinand was also my pleasure to have you in our local , satisfied that our list of beers you enjoyed. Iâm living couple blocks away from Mediceo. Each time I visit, my satisfaction is just upgrades to another level. All the crew is always nice, good and quick. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so good that I think theyâre the best one in Mugello. Grazie a tutti
