Today, the cycle of the natural seasons, still is a great dispenser of flavors and great commodities. The seasonal products have a unique flavor as well as great nutritional characteristics, which cannot be found in the same products when they are grown w
Definately the best place in town. Have tried all the restaurants in Marradi. Also a huge compliment to the host. The food is perfect, the view even better. We'll be back

We recently had a delightful lunch after navigating the hilly and curvy roads from Chianti to San Benedetto. We asked a local man who was watching the waterfalls on a nearby bridge where we could find good food in this small village and he directed us to Acquacheta. We entered through a bar area where we were welcomed and directed to a table on the enclosed terrace. Tables were rather close to one another, however, there weren't many people when we arrived for lunch. There is also a main dining room indoors for colder weather. Family style dining best describes Acquacheta. Tables were topped with cloth tablecloths and napkins. A television in the bar blared during our meal and the clientele seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists like us, exploring the area. The menu included a nice selection of hearty, regional dishes, many featuring wild game.I started my meal with tagliatelle pasta made with Porcini mushrooms. The mushrooms were fresh, rich with flavor and the portion was generous. My wife enjoyed Crespelle (crepes) filled with Porcini mushrooms and radicchio, baked in a heavy cheese sauce. After this, I ordered Roast Lamb and my wife had the roast Pheasant. Both meats were served on a large serving tray filled with roasted potatoes and an assortment of grilled vegetables. I also had a fresh green salad on the side.Service was friendly, attentive and efficient throughout our meal. Prices were very reasonable with our above meal, plus a half-liter of house wine, a bottle of water, a cafe and a chocolate soufflé, totaling 59 euro. If you happen to drink too much during your meal, Acquacheta is also a small hotel. I recommend Acquacheta to TripAdvisor community.
