As other reviews say, this is a fantastic restaurant with children and whilst there is not a specific children's menu, they are very accommodating and will make a variety of pasta dishes. Plenty of toys in the children play area also. We initially found this restaurant as we thought it served Pizza, but being lunch time we were informed this is only in the evening. The food overall was very good however and the staff friendly.

We visited borgo San Lorenzo during our stay in barberino di mugello. We had lunch here. It is cozy restaurant at small square. No English menu. The owner (women) sereved the table. Briefly explained special of the day. Food tasty, I personally had tagliata. It was simply outstandingNice atmosphere, good food and wine. Many local people came for a lunch Will be glad to come back once again

Nice seafood restaurant with open kitchen. Choice of fresh fish is rather limited. Selection of raw and cooked starters (some very good; others less), first and main courses. Overall good but not impressive. Probably not the traditional sort of fish restaurant you would have in mind. Quite small with few seating possibilities. Seemed very busy even being a weekday.

Just got back from a week in Scarperia. Had a wonderful time and ate some lovely food. We went here with a large group on the first night and had a great time. Food was superb. Seafood risotto followed by fish skewers was my choice. So much food. Delicious. Other nights we had pasta or fish. My tip would be share a pasta dish between two. Huge portions. The staff were lovely. My only query would be to do with the wine list. You are asked to try and find a wine on an iPad app. They are over 18 euros a bottle and they donât have house wine. Other than that I would highly recommend. Also they will also serve delicious table water instead of bottled. Ask for â Aqua dâcanela.

We're there many times while staying in Scarperia and we always were agreeably surprised regarding great food and the extremely friendly staff. We ate all dishes there as pasta, pizza, fish, meat etc. and all was truly tasty and rich. My favorite are penne arabiatta the best we ever ate and the Mugello speciality pasta with potatos and bolognese. The house wine is excellent too. But also other wines are tasty and worth to drink. All in all a nice place with lavish dishes for a reasonable value and a really friendly, helpful and attentive staff. We are ready to go back very soon.

The Artists Restaurant. A place where art and cuisine come together! Born in 1914 to accommodate artists of the nearby Theatre steps. Today offers traditional Tuscan recipes, with a modern revisited of the our Chef who always adds a special flavor twist!
We ate at this restaurant last night because the couple we were with had had a good pasta lunch there. By 9:30 were still the only customers. In the vegetarian option, everything was fried or in a creamy sauce. Although one of the dishes contained cherry tomatoes (just a few), when I asked for some pasta with tomatoes, I was told there were none in the kitchen (so when did they prepare the food?). I ended up eating next to nothing. I do eat meat but couldn't find anything that sounded the least bit healthy or fresh with meat either. The only fish was salt cod. There were no salads or vegetable sides on the menu. The server did not try to assist me at all to find something I could eat. The other three people I was with had the vegetarian menu, and came out feeling like they'd eaten too much fried food..I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat healthy food.

We found this place through the Italian Coeliac website and were not disappointed. Great gluten free pizza for me and great regular pizza for himself! They also have homemade gluten free tortelli, and some proper gluten free desserts! We didn't try these but given the quality of the rest of the food I would imagine these would be good also. The restaurant was full of locals and seemed busy given it was a Tuesday evening. Staff were very friendly and helpful and didn't mind our attempts to speak Italian. Definitely somewhere to go back to.

A nice restaurant with a lovely interior. We had really nice food and wine and because everything was so tasty also desert. Unfortunately the menu was a bit confusing and we weren't 100 % sure what was on the menu on that day. Otherwise it would've been an "excellent".
