We had dinner here two nights in a row. We loved the waiter and that probably had something to do with it. This seems to be a local, family run, family friendly restaurant, not aimed at tourists (which we were). We had delicious rocket (arugula) salad with bufalo mozzarella, very good pizza, and even the steak was very good. A local experience. Not the fanciest, but simple and good. My only criticism was the pasta with porcini mushrooms was a little bland. I wouldn't order that if I went back.

We visited the restaurant in March, and the garden dining area, Guendalina, was not open. We did get a good look at it, however, and it's a very attractive space. We ate in the indoor "Disco Restaurant" venue, still part of the same establishment, but with a very different mood - a little bit of Las Vegas in Sicily. Actually, it was fun, and quite unexpected.The food here is superb. We had a seafood feast created by the Conti family's kitchen team, Giancarlo, Danilo and Paride. We had swordfish parmigiana, calamari & fried zucchini flowers for starters, then linguine with red prawns and porcini mushrooms, followed by a perfect salmon filet with "patate viola" (sauteed cubes of purple, nearly black, potatoes, evidently a variety native to Peru). Everything was presented elegantly, as befitted the complex but subtle flavors. With a bottle of locally produced white wine, it was a memorable meal. Gourmet dining in the middle of Sicily!

Some reviews on here are not just random, but lies. The facts are that you can eat an excellent pasta arrabiata here for just â¬5. The service is quick and friendly. Beer is bottled - so how can you criticise ? Chips without salt is GOOD!! If you want salt, just add it? Sad when an Italian restaurant is judged on how much salt is on the fries! Great setting, large car park close by and even though they were busy - never rushed us along. Best eating in town since we've been here. Recommended !!!

Our B&B hosts recommended and we were so completely satisfied. We had typical meats & cheeses starter, pizza with Buffalo mozzarella, tomato, eggplant, artichoke.Most impressive was pasta with black truffles.There is an extensive beer selection with more than 25 selections.It was Woman's Day and each lady received a little bouquet.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way out of the city and we couldn't have been more pleased. We were not able to read anything from the menu except what little Italian we know, so we ordered one from each category (feeding 4 people) and it was great!! Usually at Italian restaurants one dish is enough to share between a couple but they were actually appropriate for a single person. The staff was very pleasant and the food was great. We would love to go again if we are ever that way again!

We have been to the pizzeria for dinner and can only agree on all the great reviews. The pizza is very delicious and the people extremely kind. They welcomed us very friendly, helped us with the menu and even arranged to put an additional table in front of the pizzeria so that we were able to sit and enjoy the pizza right away. Many thanks for the great pizza and the hospitality!

our hotel owner advised to eat here and it was excellent. not poncy just really tasty food .. house wines are fine. no dramas getting seated or ordering , being english we eat early and go past a place and there's no one in. so you think ooohh , no ones in ,is it any good?took us ages to work it out it was us. hey ho.

I might be bias, because I'm originally from this part of Siciliy, and I've often eaten at Nino's. If you are visiting Piazza Armerina, and want to have a delicious dinner, then you should walk by or call in first, make a reservation (yes , it's not that easy to get a table), and then...enjoy the food. The antipasti, the pizza, the pasta, the meat, you're gonna love it, I'm sure of that!
