If we hadn't had a recommendation we wouldn't have found this place. You have to wander down Via Roma in the little town of Ormea and it looks like a bar from the outside. Well, it is also a bar and seems to have a nice wine selection. I had the house wine with pasta and a plate of starters, local cheeses and vegetable pie and some grilled vegetables. My husband got the stoccafisso which is dried fish marinated and mixed with potatoes and olives. It was fantastic - definitely a traditional dish that I've never seen in the states. I skipped dessert but the apple pie was homemade. The coffee is excellent and the prices were very reasonable.

A very friendly welcome and a well-appointed, spacious dining room set the tone for a very good meal: the mushroom special, comprising an ever-so-refined, warm, truffled mushroom soft cheese starter, an al dente mushroom risotto and a dish of mushrooms served in 4 different ways: braised, reduced in vinegar, baked in a vine leaf and deep-fried in batter. We let the sommelier decide what went best with this: his 2008 Banfi BelnerO at â¬25 was perfect. The 80s pop sound track was, on reflection, Ligurian: it's all we heard everywhere we went in Liguria.

This restaurant serves fine Italian food made the real way. It as a travel through Italy's finest cousine and even to a very affordable price. You go for the menu, no a la carte, end then you spent the next many hours being spoiled with various flavours all combined perfectly. Dont go if you are in a hurry !!!If you're within reasonable distance this is definitely worth the drive. I spend each July 30 km from the restaurant and I will still go at least once when I'm here after more than 20 summers in the region. Enjoy !!!

The Moisello restaurant is run by the two brothers: Ludovico the chef, and Federico looking after guests. This classic establishment, with a traditional atmosphere, proposes mainly Ligurian culinary delicacies based on the use of fresh local products. Hom
First of many visits to this smart but low key establishment. Food & service tip top. Local wine amazing. Family of 7 with x3 under 6's. Chef happy to cook a great tomato pasta for the kids. We had a great evening!

Really great authentic Ligurian cuisine, very friendly service (and multilingual staff) and prices that will make you smile :)We had the degustation menu with numerous antipasti, 2 primi (delicious gnocchi and ravioli al ragu), 3 different secondi (snails, capon and goat), dessert, coffee and digestives all inclusive. A feast!!!
