Coming from a hiking tour we were guests of the phantastic kitchen of Luca Grimaldi and his family. Considdering that in whole piemont one can eat very well " La grotta" has still a very specific charme and we could adore the almost magic cooking skills. The " Carbonara" was incredible and at the second evening he designed also a perfect meal with potatoes cooked in red wine. All the best for Luca and his family from four lucky german wanderes!

Weâve been coming here for years - and this year, after 11 lunches and dinners in Isola 2000, Le Petit Chamois still leaves the others standing. It is my ideal lunch spot in a sunny day. So good, that I tend to write off the skiing for the rest of the day. The food is simple, well cooked and well served. I just wish they would do the evening kidneys dish at lunch. 4 mains, 2 puddings, various drinks - â¬93. An absolute bargain for the setting/food quality/service. No.1 in Isola 2000 by a mile. Bravo!

Chalet Belvedere lunch by the fireplace and big terrace Home made Quiche, Hamburger, Soup, Grilled meat, Pasta... Home made desserts de 6⬠à 21 â¬
This was a good spot to stop and refuel. The food was better than okay which for a mountain restaurant is a recommendation. We had pasta with tomato sauce which was reheated but tasty and quiche with salad. Not much competition in the resort so would say to stop if your passing. One thing is that the staff were lovely and helpful.

Really? Is this what it has come to...all these restaurants trying to get away with cheap shortcuts which only results in bad reviews and the end of their business...eventually anyway. Nice service, ok (nothing more) decor, fireplace was nice..but we also go to restaurants for good food no? We donât want to shop, cook and clean up at home and we are on holiday!? So we go to the restaurant and when we get below average food itâs just not acceptable! Wine wasnât anything special either, why have hopeless wine on the menu in the first place? Childrenâs menus are a disgrace almost everywhere and this was no exception, no greens at all, frozen battered chicken with tasteless fries (how can you manage to f up the fries? Beyond me!).Kids menus are simple to get right, and it would also mean less kitchen management; serve childrenâs portions of the â a la carte â dishes! Voilà , happy kids...impressed and happy parents, happy chefs and less stuff to buy in and the bonus will be great reviews.

We enjoyed having dinner here with the family after a nice day out on the slopes.Restaurant is situated at the top of Isola village. Staff are friendly and thereâs a nice selection of winter dishes on the menu. Took a while to get our food but when we told them we were a bit in a rush for dessert they served us pretty quickly.
