The staff were all, as expected, ultimate professionals and our limited Italian was no issue. We sat outside on a balmy night which was lovely. From the snacks at the start to the post dessert snack trolley every mouthful was amazing. This was our favourite restaurant so far. The serves were generous and you definitely will leave satisfied.

A few kilometers from Alba is the StefanoPaganini restaurant, located in the castle of 1700. Surrounded by an immense green park and composed of refined salt and affrescatevi host in style in the most important day of your life. Space and capacity The res
This was the best find in Piedmont. The owner and chef Stefano Paganini do not blame the name of the famous Italian violinist. To compare La Ciau del Tornavento, 1 Michellin star restaurant and This one, the winner is Stefano Paganini. The ambiente is not so high like in La Ciau del Tornavento, but the food is better, full of surprises, a lot of goodies, and the price also match. It is not cheap, but worth of last penny. When in La Ciau del Tornavento the chef were mainly in the restaurant, not in kitchen, Stefano were preparing each piece of our food with all his passion.Presentation is very inovative, taste absolut fabulous.I can bet, that in couple of months this restaurant will get Michellin star, so hurry, while the prices are still down!!!!

On the first page of La Madernassa's menu, chef Mammoliti outlines his culinary philosophy and lists an impressive number of top chefs and restaurants with whom he has apprenticed. One of these is Alain Ducasse's 3-Michelin star, Le Louis XV in Monaco. Having dined at both, I can honestly say that chef Mammoliti's food was better.I have many food intolerances so instead of choosing specific dishes from the menu, I put myself in chef Mammoliti's hands and asked him to prepare anything he wanted for me. I'm happy I did. Everything he made was seasonal, balanced, and quite simply, delicious. His flavours were at times light, often complex but always skillfully done. Here and there he incorporated amusing touches like his beetroot amuse bouche that resembled the red, crunchy coating on a candy apple but tasted like beets. His ingredients were fresh and locally sourced, in fact, some were from his greenhouse, just steps from the kitchen. Of the three courses he prepared for me, my second course, a spring herb risotto was my favourite. It was bright green and exquisite - like the essence of spring. I shamelessly cleaned my plate with tiny loaves of his home-made chestnut-grain bread that had a texture like cake, paired perfectly with the food, and tasted like candy when dipped in a little bowl of Ligurian olive oil that they served on the side. The staff were helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. They were able to describe the dishes in detail and answer our questions about the ingredients. The wine list was varied, lengthy, and not at all expensive. Same for the dinner which we thought was really inexpensive considering the quality and quantity of the dishes and how generous they were with amuse bouche and petit fours.I'd happily drive there again just to eat at his restaurant. I'm curious to know what he creates with summer, fall and winter ingredients.

The Langhe and Roero region are famous for the local gastronomy. There are many splendid high class restaurants. In the smaller villages it is sometimes more difficult to find a normal simple meal when you travel around and get a bit tired of the gastronomy. So when you are in Guarene this family run little osteria serves a decent pasta and nice secundo. The local wines are good.Half the price of the more sophisticated options in the gourmetrestaurants.

This restaurant is pretty small in size but it is worth visiting. The service was very friendly. We got appetizers on the house. All the dishes were well prepared and very tasty. Wines were very affordable and of decent quality. Good value for the money you spend here!

The restaurant's young chef Gabriella is above the wine cellar Massucco Brothers, surrounded by their vineyards in Castagnito Roero: her enthusiasm and passion for the typical products of Piedmont renewed offer traditional dishes in an elegant and at the
We went to this restaurant for nice Sunday lunch and were so happy with the beauty of the presentation of the food and the restaurant and its grounds, but most importantly with the extreme quality of food. We enjoyed the traditional Piedmont tastes, such as the beef carpaccio agnolotti with a Barolo reduction sauce as well as more innovative dishes such as the fig tempura with prosciutto and goat cheese mousse. Be sure to save room for dessert! In addition to great food, the wine was really excellent. We also reserved a table with a great view and we found it all to be reasonably priced. After lunch we headed down into the cantina and enjoyed a taste of Roero's best. The wine and local products were also very reasonably priced for their excellent quality.

We learned of this restaurant from our food and wine tour guide and the lovely guide at the Marchesi di Gresy wine tasting tour. They described it simply as âa place like no other!â How right they were! About a 30 Minute drive from Agliano Terme, we arrived and were greeted warmly and shown to a nice table. From that point on, wine and food started coming!! A huge magnum of white wine was placed on our table, followed by a huge magnum of red, both to be poured at our discretion. Courses of amazing food started coming! Puff pastry with prosciutto, homemade tajarin and agnolotti with ragu. We were told only the entree was by choice. The choices were delivered in Italian! I ordered the pork, which was described with a âpig snortâ and my husband the beef. The pork was actually pork medallions parmigiana. My husbandâs beef was beef cheeks with a HUGE femur from which to eat the marrow!! Dessert was a large chunk of nougat and a chisel and Binet, which is a Piedmontese chocolate and amaretti biscuit flan! Such a fun evening!! For some unknown reason, while my husband was in the restroom, the owner asked me, âBlanco o Rosso?â I replied, âRosso?â At which point he left and returned with a huge magnum of red wine, as a gift! The evening was well worth more than we paid and we were thrilled to have had this authentic dining experience!!

First visit since 2015 and during our absence chef Odero has been working a while at the castle of Guarene. Now back and ambitious as always. Food is firmly based on Piedmont traditions but inspired by France and Guide Michelin fans. The amuse and coffee sweets are among the best around, love them! Foi gras in various versions was super, as was the lamb. It is too easy to overeat though...
