Il Corsaro has much more to offer than pizza, but Gianluca's pizza is fantastic. The fresh, local ingredients combined with the wood fired oven and Gianluca's pizza sauce make every pizza a delight. With a beautiful, newly renovated interior seating for winter, large outdoor seating for summer and an exceptional staff (especially Cesare!), Il Corsaro is a great place for lunch or dinner. Be sure to visit at dinner though to see Gianluca prepare the best pizza you will ever eat! And if you want more than pizza, his seafood and pasta dishes are wonderful.

Love this place. Pizzas first class everytime we visit. Staff great too. Great value for money. Pizzas are always very hot. Tasty and crispy.

We have a holiday home in the Centro Storico and have walked past this restaurant numerous times.This time however,encouraged by a recommendation,we took the plunge and so glad that we did. Firstly Rosita and her husband are fantastic hosts treating you like a member of the family. The pizza was one of the best we have had in Italy,the desert of fried pizza with nutella(don't knock it until you have tried it) was gorgeous. Pizza,desert, wine and grappa at a very reasonable price and best of all a short stroll home.We will definitely visit again on our return.

Morbida e con buon pomodoro. La mozzarella sembrava tipo formaggio per pizza anziché fiordilatte, ma comunque digeribile. Molto diversa dalla vera pizza napoletana per l'assenza del tipico gusto di legna e del cornicione.

Visited Johnnyâs Pizzeria a couple of times during our recent stay in San Nicola. The pizzaâs were really delicious, my husband said theyâre the best heâs ever tasted. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and the pizzaâs had a good variety of flavours, balance of toppings combined with an amazing pizza dough base. The food was excellent and the owners could not be more helpful. We would definitely recommend Johnnyâs and weâll be back.

My friend and I rode our motorcycles all day and stopped at the hotel for the evening to find a wonderful restaurant on site with a beautiful pool, patio and well-kept grounds. We will return for a second ride this coming weekend with a group. Thank you for taking care of all our needs. The food was good, service was excellent, the staff was very hospitality, the atmosphere was very comfortable, very thing was exceptionally clean.

This is a very casual, street front drop-by pizza place, not a real restaurant. Tables are mostly on the street. But the pizza is good and they have local homemade wine that is simple but fresh. We liked it and went back a second time as a result. Donât expect a full-fledged restaurant but as long as you have that expectation it will be a nice find in Scalea

Found this by chance and had a great meal for a very reasonable price the service was efficient and informal and very friendly . The main waiter a slightly older guy was especially pleasant The menu was fairly extensive not just pizza . We ate here twice and enjoyed both occasions .
