Mentre passeggiavamo per il lungomare di Amantea io e mio marito avevamo voglia di sederci e prendere qualcosa ad un locale. Abbiamo sentito della musica e abbiamo deciso di entrare in questo Bar. Abbiamo atteso più di mezz'ora ma non si è avvicinato nessuno. Alla fine mio marito spazientito ha deciso di andare al bancone a chiamare qualcuno. Si è avvicinato il ragazzo che ha preso le ordinazioni: Un cornetto per mio marito, che è arrivato subito ed un frappè per me, che ho dovuto attendere 20 minuti perché arrivasse. C'era nel frattempo un cantante che cantava perlopiù canzoni napoletane. Poi è arrivata l'animazione con il "trenino", ma per fortuna avevamo finito e ce ne siamo andati. Ho messo due stelle solo perché il cornetto era molto buono.

Si conferma essere un posto da evitare. Attesa interminabile, personale disorganizzato e la solita cattiva abitudine di presentare il conto con uno scontrino NON FISCALE giocando sul fatto che devi ritirarlo alla cassa! Io non ritiro un bel niente: ti pago e quando mi porti il resto mi consegni anche lo SCONTRINO FISCALE.

We aee family of 4, came to Amantea, not knowing either city or Italian. This place looked nice and we went in. And we were coming almost every single day after that. Food is great, place is modern but warm, clean.. Because there are lot of moscitos, in the garden obe can find repellants and lamps for protection. Owners and staff are great, pleasant, polite, helpful, speak English..... I cannot find a single bad thing...

Trascorso una buona serata in questo locale appena fuori dal centro storico di Amantea. Ottimi gli antipasti, tutti prodotti a Km 0. Discreta la pizza. Bella la veduta panoramica sulla città e molto buono il servizio.

Fresh fish. Great service. Wonderful place. You're in Calabria and recall the beaches you visited 30 years ago. No skyscrapers, wildly beaches. Simple life, perfect holidays. Il Pergolato reflects this. Simple food but fresh and perfectly cooked. Treat you as you're local. You feel at home. I will miss it.

An unpretentious local restaurant turned out to be an excellent Calabrian food! Pizzas are some of the best we ate in Italy, but make sure to try the antipasti - local plate and their local wine. Everything was very tasteful and very reasonably priced, and the service very good and hospitable.

After arriving at our nearby hotel we were dropped here to get lunch. It was a nicely appointed place and the food was better than I expected.Tasty bruschetti, excellent seafood salads and rissottos, and lots of fresh, tasty bread to accompany the meal. Why the name I have no idea.
