Lovely little place in the Centro Storico of Fiumefreddo, especially on a warm August evening! Sat outside & was served complementary appetizer - then we had local dishes, the polpette alla mellanzane, just like my mother-in-law made! Everything we had was very simple & tasty! Recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The name is a little confusing, is it called A Piazetta or ConVivio, on here it is the former, the street signs the latter. It is advertised under both names and is part of a company which runs a bar, a bed and breakfast and a restaurant. We managed to find it though. The village is well worth a visit itself and we could not fault the attentive service, from the chef talking to us about our potential menus and tailoring a meal to suit us through to the waiting staff who were exceptional. The restaurant prides itself on good quality local produce cooked in the traditional manner and it did not disappoint on any level. Everything arrived hot, well cooked and seasoned and we were treated to some of the best meat dishes we have ever eaten in Italy. The final dish, pork fillet wrapped in pancetta, will stay in my memory for many years to come. We will return with friends, both to the restaurant and to the "library of beer" bar which seemed to have enough beers available to satisfy any beer lover. Well done the owners for creating such a lovely place to enjoy food, and well done the staff for a dining experience that was right up there with the best we have had. The price was very reasonable too.

I do not normally write reviews, but this I should do. This resturant is great, and definitely the best in fiumefeddo bruzio and near the castle. I highly recommend to try this resturant for following reasons:1. The place has very beautiful and unique design. All decorated with precision. The atmosphere makes you happy even before trying the food.2. The staff are all family, very friendly, well dressed, polite and on your table when you need them.3. The food is great. The chief knows how to cook. We ordered vegetarian food and the result was spectacular. The plate full of surprises.4. The desert is some thing you will never forget! They are the master of desert!!!5. The price is totally fair! We ordered one dish spaghetti, one dish vegetarian, one desert, one glass mineral water, one Fanta + bread, extra appetizer and .... all cost less than 25 euro! I will definitely be back for that resturant. Why not try a very good resturant in a beautiful ancient village. Dear guest, thank you so much for your many wonderful things. We are happy and proud to know that you enjoyed our menù and location. We hope to see you again and we send you the best regards.

It, as their home is a kitchen at km 0 with a la carte menu, based on what he called the Mediterranean diet with strictly local products and dishes and specialties Fiumefreddesi, for those who like to eat fish and only possible on reservation.
Wsae were on a 5 day trip to Calabria suggested by a colleague from the area originally. We wound up at this restaurant owned by a friend of his and were blown away. Seriously--one of the best meals we have ever had. The menu was varied--much more so than in any restaurant in Rome we have eaten at in the month and a half we have lived there--and illustrated the influences of Spanish, Sicilian, and Greek cuisine on the region's food. And it was tremendous! It's a tiny place, only a few tables, charming, with a friendly and very nice waitress. The Italians at the next table had dish after dish but we could only eat an anti-pasta, a primi, a contorni and a dolce. The Semifreddo desert was exceptionally wonderful but everything was fantastic. A little hidden gem in a little gem of an almost undiscovered area for Americans. It is sad that the only reviews of this place are by Italians while Americans flock in hordes to the usual northern Italian tourist traps of mediocre restaurants in Venice, Florence, Rome and the CInque Terre. My countrymen's loss

I have known Longobardi for a long time, and I did not expect such a lovely gourmet restaurant in this tiny lovely village. The owner is very knowledgeable and keen to share the background of each plate in the "path" - set menu - offered by the restaurant. Ingredients are top notch and cuisine is creative. Congratulations!

If you are in the area, I think itâs strictly necessary to come to Aru Castagnu and taste the food made by the Calabrian Nonna. Itâs only 10 minutes from the sea and here everything, absolutely everything is homemade and you can notice it in the delicious flavor of each dish. Its owners, a typical and friendly Italian family, serve the place. Donât miss Aru Castagnu! Taste the real flavors of Calabria.

We had eaten here previously but decided to visit with some new friends. The views from the restaurant are fantastic and a window table is a must.We were not particularly hungry so did not fancy a full 3 course meal.We opted to have the hot and cold seafood platters. The cold seafood platter consisted of at least 10 different types of fish from squid, prawns, mussels, with many others that we could not identify but all tasted delicious. This was followed by a hot seafood platter with 6 different types of fish some of which were grilled and others lightly fried. This was followed by dolci and coffee. The gelatos were amongst the best that I have had in Calabria.A very good dining experience.

Very nice place, neat and clean. Among lush greenery on the hills with an amazing sea view. Lucca, the owner, was very kind. Food is excellent, fresh and tasty, all home made with their own products. Appetizers were delicious, and so was pasta. Home wine is great. Looking forward to going back for the meat and poultry. Highly recommend!

After arriving at our nearby hotel we were dropped here to get lunch. It was a nicely appointed place and the food was better than I expected.Tasty bruschetti, excellent seafood salads and rissottos, and lots of fresh, tasty bread to accompany the meal. Why the name I have no idea.
