This place closed for a while, and has now re-opened. The staff are very friendly, and the chef sure knows what he is doing. Because of this the previous reviews should be ignored. Some English is spoken here and its a pleasure to visit. Give it a go.

Meson la Casilla offers excellent traditional Spanish food. A particular standout dish is their patatas a lo pobre, but their croquetas, pulpo a la gallega (octopus) and gambas are also highly recommended. The food along with the house rioja is very good value. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and looks very traditional which matches the food. It is very popular with locals and busy on the weekend.

Very welcoming owner and excellent Galician cuisine a short walk from the former station and the via verde/camino mozarabe de santiago. Menu del Dia at â¬11,80 which was good but I was having dinner elsewhere so went a la carte for lunch. There is a wide range of Galician dishes at very fair but not cheap prices. I had a stunning bacalao a la peregrina with tomatoes, red pepper and a poached egg. Delicious. Galician wines are available by the glass at fair prices. Service efficient and friendly. Decor focussed on Galicia and the Camino de Santiago. Outside terrace, which my being there in December was not an option! On seeing the scallop shell on my pilgrim rucksack the owner gave me a scallop shell from his own collection!

Great food and better service. We took the option of celebrating our wedding reception at Restaurante El Patio del Hotel, in Lucena. This town is located in the heart of Andalucia, and we could not be more satisfied with the quality of the food and with the excellent team working in all levels at the restaurant, and everything provided at affordable prices. Overall rate is that we were impressed and loved it at every angle.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Cordoba and what a pleasant surprise. We ordered a mix of seafood and meat. Both were of the highest quality and I especially remember the Carabaneros prawns (not cheap and one each is plenty but definitely worth the expense). The octopus was also the best we had on this entire trip. The steaks looked pretty impressive too!.Hi Mikky!! We're very grateful for your opinion of our restaurant!! Looking forward to seeing you soon!! :)Best regards,

This restaurant offers you a very special experience, not only in dining, but also in entourage, service, friendliness and excellent quality food.Only 4KM away from the A45 - exit 56 toward A-318/Lucena (Norte). Your visit will satisfy you physically and mentally. TRESCULTURAS is the inspiring philosophy of three brother owners. In ancient times lived in this area the Jews, Arabs and Christians peacefully together, which here is symbolised (attached photo). For easy guidance follow the Ronda de San Francisco route till you see on your left hand a Mercadona Super Market. Facing the front on the left hand side of the building you find around the corner the restaurant entrance with its annexed cafeteria. Opposite is a signed private parking facility for restaurant visitors. It will be a delightful happening. Highly recommended.

Based on its Trip Advisor rating, my wife and I headed to this restaurant on a chilly and wet day in Lucena. We arrived for lunch before 1.30 when they were scheduled to start serving so we had time to have drinks and view the menu. In the first half hour the restaurant was full with people waiting for tables. The 'menu del dia' was 12 euros - more expensive than some but very good value nonetheless. There were some interesting options on the menu and we were very full when it was time to leave. My slight reservation was the haste with which we were dealt at the end of the meal. A new table cloth was being laid as we were getting ready to leave the table. I couldn't make for the exit as the waiter was getting ready for the next guests. This took the shine off an otherwise pleasuable dining experience.
