Place is worth the pit stop. VERY loud inside, but this created a great energy. We tried 4 different samples and bought the delicious olives and almonds -- great way to get people to buy! Lots of different things to buy, including olive oil, that's inexpensive. We did not eat here.

Paco and Isabel are wonderful hosts and one can easily be impressed by Paco's enthousiasm for the local produce. As other reviewers I can certainly recommed the baked goat cheese. Unless you are very hungry I recommend that you share this starter. As a main course I had lamb cutlets which very a bit on the dry side.

Traditional restaurant placed in the main square of the village, in front of the cathedral-church. We enjoy an unique environment and are committed to offer only premium quality meals, from small tapas to special stews available on request. We daily selec
The food here is faultless, the location beautiful. Sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the magnificent church opposite, we were stunned by the quality of the food. It would be considered excellent anywhere but in this small, very quiet Andalusian town way off the tourist trail we were amazed. Starters of gratinado - perfect cheese from neighbouring Zuheros, lightly grilled- and marinaded slivers of cod on gazpacho were incredibly delicious. Husbandâs main of cod with clams was wonderful if a bit on the salty side. My lamb chops were delicious, tender and flavoursome. We finished with home made millefeuille with fresh cream. The service was really friendly without being intrusive. The waiter told us a bit about the dishes and how the (complementary) digestif was made on the premises. This wonderful, memorable meal cost just 70e, including a glass of fino each and a bottle of excellent Verdejo. In London there is always a great fanfare when a new Spanish restaurant is opened by a big name, with critics tripping over themselves to fawn and gush praise. They turn out in our opinion to be only too often the emperors new clothes. Not one of them holds a candle to this extraordinarily good restaurant. I wish it was a bit closer to home. Dear stephfromlondon_10,Thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to write such an amazing review. We're truly glad that you enjoyed some of our best dishes. Definitely, you got to taste a perfect combination of completely local ingredients/recipes (cheese, lamb) and the best fresh products that we can find along the national markets.Hope to have the opportunity to see you around again.Best,Luis

This is a nice restaurant with interior balconies. The food is good if you eat meat but it is not vegetarian friendly. "Vegetarian" means "meat free" - rice and vegetables - no protein.

Everything was great; friendly attentive service, classy dining room; perfect fresh-cooked cuisine; reasonable prices (food and wine). We were staying at the hotel and dined here in the evening - there are just a few choices in the village and this seems to be the best. We were not disappointed.

On our way to Cordoba we stopped at this cafe on the roundabout. It was late for the lunch and too early for the diner. We were interested to try the churros with chocolate sauce but they didn't have it so we just ordered tea. Enjoyed the tea and the view outside around the roundabout before hitting the road again.
Not much choice around so this place is a good choice. Good variety of dishes and good quality. Service could be improved...

You can immediately tell the chef knows what he's doing. Spanish tradition meets avant-garde cuisine and the result is absolutely amazing. El violin offers a range of delicious top-quality dishes to cater for every need, but without trying to do too much. Their salads, meat, and seafood are particularly tasty, but the menu speaks for itself. You'll find typical Spanish food as well as more modern and original ingredients and dishes. You won't be disappointed. The wine is delicious, and the waiters friendly. Food lovers, this is the place for you.
