The restaurant serves an amizing goat under booking. There is a good family shop where You can buy local artisans works in leather, marble and mates. They have a family factory of the best porks products of the zone: all type of salami, hams and porloins of pork, local cheese and an amazing Cave where you can taste all type of wines from Argentina.

We spent 2 nights in Villa Carlos Paz and took the opportunity on Tuesday April 14th to hop on a bus headed for La Falda. We basically wanted to see if we could get a "feel" of the Punilla Valley. In Carlos Paz AND La Falda the town seems to close up for "siesta" between 1-5 PM. We strolled down Eden Avenue in the rain and Marco Polo Lounge and Bar was open and tables were occupied. In we went.We had a great salad(40 pesos)....the large Fugazzeta pizza (64 pesos)....and a cafe doble. The pizza was very good...and we even took leftovers back to Carlos Paz for breakfast the next morning. This is our fifth visit to Argentina for MONTHS at a time and we could not believe that this is one of the few restaurants that HAD PEPPER ON THE TABLE!!!!Ambience is lovely and service was fine.If I could......I would give the restaurant a 3.5 rating.Value reigns when a satisfying lunch costs $11.00 at the blue rate.Other tables took advantage of a set menu lunch and seemed to be happy campers. We were the only turistas.

We came here for chivito (baby goat) which was available. It was tough and dry. Not recommended. Service was fine. We paid 990 pesos for four people including drinks. No entre no desert no coffee.

Gluten free folks: Como en Casa thickens their sauces with corn starch!Pollo agridulce con ananas is yummy if you want meat that is like a dessert. Arroz concileana is a good vegetarian option.Matambre ala pizza without jamon is a favorite of mine. They don't always have it available as I have seen many people order and be told "not today."The service is good. Yes, the decor is horrid, kitschy unintentionally. Good prices! Closed on Wednesdays.

First class service! Host, owner and chief cook and bottle washer, Claudio, speaks very good English and is super attentive. Presentation is superior and unexpected in this sleepy little town. Fantastic soup is on the menu. Hard to find in any Argentine restaurant. Unusual combinations of elements in sauces and all courses. Claudio's culinary creativity is so refreshing in a country where most choices on a menu are meat, pasta and not much else. His restaurant could easily thrive in New York with his mastery of fine dining in the relaxed, laid back atmosphere he has achieved in La Falda.
