Long story short we missed our opportunity to get Connemara smoked fish direct from the source today during our looping drive through Connemara. As we were famished from our dayâs adventures, and wanted to celebrate with a grand meal, we looked up the highest rated restaurants in Oughterand. Our first pick was Powers, which was full, so we settled on Greenway. I need to state that while Iâm sure Powers Iâd good, Greenway was SPECTACULAR! First, it had features that provided the fish we so desired, which truly is the best smoked fish Iâve ever had, and, if these entrees are indicative of what else they serve, easily sets Greenway as the towns best. We even indulged in dessert, which capped off a magnificent meal.

We had a brilliant meal here. It's a busy spot so I would recommend booking if you want to be sure of a table. We had a lovely view of the river out the back. The service was excellent and it was all reasonably priced.Thank you. Great to hear you enjoyed the view, service & meal

We recently had a family event in a venue for 40 people that we chose poppyseed to cater for. They were excellent. Brilliant communication and all our needs were met - including hire of tables/chairs/cutlery/ glasses etc. They provided polite, experienced waiting staff and the food was excellent. We opted for mixed canapes, followed by lamb tegine (beautifully spiced ) or chicken ala king (suitable for all palates) and chicken goujons for the children. They took into account that we had a family member with a nut allergy and accommodated that. For dessert, we had a tasty cheesecake and raspberry roulade. Would highly recommend for catering for your events. They quoted slightly more expensive than their competitors - but absolutely worth it for an excellent catering experience.

Wonderful food! Excellent flavors and extremely fresh, made to order. This restaurant is on the road to the ferry terminal, and I would expect them to be a grab-and-go type (everything pre made). It is nothing like that! Best fish chowder in the country. Amazing chicken salad.You canât go wrong here. Very friendly service and a talent in the kitchen.Thank you for a lovely review! Yes, everything is fresh and prepared to order in our kitchen. Lots of people are picking up on the seafood chowder, it is one of our most popular dishes! That is the special Blas na Mara recipe made with the best ingredients.
