Restaurant & Accommodation. French and local cuisine, at Armorica we use organic, fresh and local produce. Nine unique and cozy ensuite bedrooms with television. Private parking at the rear of the building.
As locals we had never had breakfast in Armorica before but it will definitely be visited again. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. The food was delicious and cooked fresh. The lunch menu also looks lovely so we will also be giving that a try. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Serving the best sea-food dishes created from the freshest fish, straight off the boat, top quality locally-sourced steaks, vegetarian dishes crafted from the finest local seasonal produce and an extensive wine list with over 40 wines from boutique vineya
From the reviews we expected something quite special, so we were a bit disappointed, although âaverageâ may be a bit harsh.Large menu and large portions and the staff were friendly and engaging but aspects of the food were disappointing.Chowder was bland, under-seasoned and far too creamy, but the scallop starter was good. Our sea trouts were well cooked and came with more than enough potato and vegetable accompaniments but we were recommended to order more potatoes and broccoli - which were then hardly touched. Overall that dish should have been simpler to get the full benefit of the sea trout.

Blake's Corner Bar, located in the heart of the city plays a big part of Galway's food scene. Since its establishment in 2012, there has been a strong focus on building an excellent reputation for food complemented by a friendly and professional service i
We visited blakes bar recently and had the lunch menu. Food was very tasty and plentiful but what made our visit great was our server! Conor was an absolute delight throughout our meal. I actually left the bar in better form then when we went in because of him. I was unsure of whether to get the soup of the day (which turned out to be amazing) but conor had said that if I didn't like it that he would have no issue replacing it for chips with my sandwich. His positive attitude and care was outstanding.

We recently stayed at a local B&B and walked to Keanes for an evening meal. The pub was busy but they went above and beyond to make a table available. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and well priced. Congratulations to all involved for providing top service in a relaxed atmosphere.

Was treating a friend to lunch and visited this pub/restaurant as had great experience last November. However the food this time was dreadful. We both had the Chicken Tikka Panini and it was tasteless. The Tikka sauce was runny and chicken tasted like rubber. On paying the bill, at the bar, the chap at till asked if everything was ok. I responded no and he just replied âIâll take 10% off soâ. It would appear this may be standard reply to an often response!! Very sad to see how the food here has gone from excellent to dreadful. Hi Evelyn,Thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant on your second visit. We apologise that you didnât enjoy your panini. This item is no longer available on our menu as we realised speaking to customers that it was quiet messy to eat, but I have to mention your the only customer to say the chicken tasted like rubber. Itâs not our policy to offer a 10% discount if a customer doesnât enjoy their meal. That discount, as you can see on the picture you uploaded of your receipt, is offered to factory workers from Parkmore so maybe our staff member misunderstood you donât worry I will get to the bottom of it as itâs most certainly not procedure. Iâm glad you had a good experience when you dined with us last November so you know our usual standards Iâm happy to say these standards havenât changed & hopefully you will call to dine with us again in the near future.Kind Regards McHughs Management

While staying at my hotel in Oranmore, I decided to give this place a try for an evening meal. On arrival I was shown to my table & presented with a menu, while my drinks order was being prepared. My sizzling meal duly arrived & it was beautifully presented. It was top quality & served by a very cheerful & friendly waitress. The service was as good as the food & one was given the impression that you were known there eventhough that was not the case. I will be happy to return on my next visit.

Rated this place a average going on one experience in this place. Cappuccino I got was the highlight. Ordered french toast and bacon. French toast was ok but the bacon rashers were deep fried and that is a huge disadvantage. Ruined the experience of this restaurant for me

Bitterly disappointed with this place. Took my neighbours here for a 'Thank-you' meal and were left feeling unwelcome, uncared-for and dispirited. From the outset we were cold and uncomfortable. The staff need some serious training. We ordered wine - one guy plonked the bottle on the table, a girl came later with some glasses. Neither opened it or poured it for us. We had to ask for a wine-bucket, which after three requests never arrived. We ate our food, which was dreadfully poor and overpriced, and just as we had finished, our kids plates arrived! Imagine, two kids watching us eat our food before theirs arrived 20 minutes later! It was just horrible and we felt mortified in front of our friends. I would not recommend this place and would certainly never dine here again. An embarrassment to Claregalway!

This restaurant is amazing, the food was outstanding and the staff went above and beyond for us.We were a family of 6 visiting Galway and we visited Lydonâs for dinner and we were so glad we did. From the moment we entered the restaurant the staff went out of the way to welcome us, to set up a table for 6 of us and cater for our every needs. The food was wonderful, we all had different starters and mains and not one of us could fault it!The wine choices were also excellent. At the end of our fabulous evening we asked the restaurant to call us a taxi and rather than us waiting for 20 mins or so, the owner herself dropped us back at our hotel on a horrid rainy evening, what an amazing lady to do that for us, we were honestly blown away!I hope I get to visit Lydonâs again, if you want good food, this is the place to be!

We had just a quick lunch (sandwiches and soup). I had a veggie soup and it was really good. Sandwiches were with tuna spread and other one with chicken and both were pretty good. Staff really friendly and polite. Definitely a recommendation for those who are on the way for Claregalway. :)
