We had a very delicious meal with multiple Indian dishes, Vindalu (hot but perfect for one who loves spicy), massaman and Balti style, all ample portions. All excellent. Choose chicken, beef or lamb. Stir fry veggies overdone but ok. Duck roll entree excellent as well as shrimp and fish cake. Service superb. Simple but choices for wine and beer. No alcohol. Nice pappadums to start with sauces with compliments.

We popped iin here on the off-chance after cycling the Greenway (also recommended). Although small, we were early, at 5.30, so they quickly found us a table for 4. What a treat. My wife always has a carbonara, whenever she tries a new Italian restaurant, so uses this as a benchmark of quality. This was 5 star. I has a special lamb in balsamic dish , which was lovely. Everything we had, between 4 of us, was excellent - reserving special mention for the burrata (exceptional) and the fig salad with a cheese I wish I could remember (outstanding). Don't expect pizza - they don't do them. Instead, enjoy great Italian food, a good selection of wines and beer, and excellent, friendly staff. One of the best Italian restaurants we've been to. A reason to visit Westport, despite the traffic!

Nevins is situated on the Great Western Greenway & The Wild Atlantic Way at the mid point between Achill and Westport.
When traveling from Achill to Westport we decided to stop for an evening meal, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The staff and service were excellent and a comprehensive menu . It was quite busy but everything was just perfect. The portions were very generous and very well presented and we hope to return there on another occasion.

An Port Mór Restaurant is run by Chef-Proprietor Frankie Mallon. Our philosophy is to use seasonal, artisan produce from local suppliers. House specialities include pot roasted pigs cheeks with black pudding & apple and vanilla sauce and 21 day dry-aged s
This is a very popular and good restaurant. We couldn't even get in the first night, lacking a reservation. We showed up early for our reservation the following evening. We were seated quickly, and service was friendly, pleasant and efficient. Our table was at the back and was cozy, with great atmosphere. We got 2-course Early Bird dinners. We had excellent appetizers of pigâs cheek salad and salmon. Our entrees of cod with chopped shaved asparagus and fried fennel, with baby potatoes was also excellent. My wife's dessert of Buttermilk Panna Cotta, and her tea were very good, as was my very strong coffee (I like strong coffee, but thankfully it doesn't keep me awake or this stuff would have kept me sleepless for a week). This was an excellent experience, and the prices were remarkably reasonable.

We went there on Sunday last. Small restaurant, interesting menu and the Specials were worth a look. Wine list had some lovely options and we went for a Saint Estephe although we rarely drink French wine.Crab starter, cloud cheese starter both excellent. I had the monkfish special - my wife had the oven cooked Cod. It was probably the weaker of the two dishes but generous. Cranberry and orange cake plus strawberry torte to finish.Confident food preparation - really enjoyed our night. The romantic element was funny. Every table had a light which could be switched on or off. At one stage I was looking at my wife lovingly and had my hand across the table for hers and she missed it. When she realised she went omg and I turned the light off as âromanceâ had died.We have been laughing ever since. Go there - you will enjoy it :)

This place on the sea frontage at Westport is deservedly popular. It's essential to book a table in the rather cramped dining space but service is speedy and efficient. Everything you might expect in such a popular place is on the extensive menu. My partner enjoyed her scallops and mussels and I enjoyed the home-made fish cakes (with a large fish content!) and my sole as a main course, all very tasty indeed. If you don't mind the noise associated with a very busy, traditional inn, then this is the place for you. Would go again!
Cobblers Restaurant is an intimate dining room in Hotel Newport where you can enjoy a formal but relaxing dining experience. Offering elegant dining with quality and interesting food prepared by our experienced and talented chef. Using the best of locally
The selection is rather limited, but the food is good. I had chicken curry and home-made naan bread which was excellent - the fish dish was also very good. Service was very good.
A warm welcome awaits you at the Seven Arches Bar and Bistro, where quality home cooked food is available 7 days from 12 noon until 9pm. Seven Arches at Hotel Newport offers daily specials and an extensive à la carte menu. Enjoy a wide range of high quali
Three of us came here for dinner, since we were staying in the attached hotel. One of us ordered the mushroom risotto, but after a wait we were told they'd run out. Apparently an alternative vegetarian option was a vegetarian curry, which turned out to have chunks of chicken in it! Luckily the person who ordered it isn't a strict vegetarian, but this is terrible service.

Kellyâs Kitchen is an award winning café in Newport town, near Westport, in the heart of the Great Western Greenway. Located at the top of the Main Street beside the family butcher shop; Kellyâs of Newport. â Call in for the excellent cooking, home baking
One of my highlights of visiting Newport is always a trip to kelly's kitchen where the combination of delicious homemade food and the warm and friendly faces of the amazing Shuana and Martin always leave me stuffed and smiling. I would highly recommend their delicious salad with candid walnuts or their kellys black pudding washed down with a slice of home baked cake and a pot of tea.
