Donât miss this spot which has outstanding service, fresh ingredients and creative dishes ! I generally think restaurants by the waterâs edge in any town can be risky - after all its often the location and not the food that keeps them in business. But the Waterfront defies the stereotype and offers so much more than the view !I visited this spot twice, once with a friend and again solo. I was gluten free and my friend dairy- free and our servers knew exactly what we could order and could arrange modifications of virtually any dish on the menu. I donât know the name of the server the first night but the second visit I had Blaithin and Slaine. They didnât need to ask anyone else about ingredients and knew about the wines - and let me taste one before ordering .If you get a chance to order the appetizer trout from Donegal (coated in liquorice and Brazil nuts) - it is super tasty. My main was a very interesting monkfish on the bone (have never had it that way, even by the Mediterranean). And also a risotto with peas and light herbs. Donât think you can wrong with any item, though - the meats and poultry on the menu looked savory and delicious Canât wait to go back!

Brennanâs Lane is in the heart of Ballina, on the evocatively named Garden Street. From outside it looks quite small, but this is deceiving as it stretches way back and is actually huge. It has an almost Tardis quality in the amount of space inside. Downs
A group of us, 4 adults and 7 children ate in Brennan's lane bar and restaurant for the first time today. The restaurant located upstairs is clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The Sunday lunch menu had a nice selection and wasn't overly priced. The children's food came first which was good. Only complaint, the restaurant had wha seemed only 1 waitress, we were waiting a long time to get ketchup. The waitress was over worked and restaurant could've done with more waiting staff. Having said that, the food was so so tasty and one of the nicest Sunday lunches I've had in a long time. I look forward to returning to Brennan's Lane bar and restaurant.

The Cot and Cobble is an award winning pub serving food from 12noon â 9pm daily. Our first class service and friendless is one of the main talking points from visitors and regulars alike. We take pride in offering wholesome, fresh and locally produced foo
Drove up from Pontoon. Arrived just before the lunch ended at 4:00 so went into the pub area for a pint. For me, a sign of a well-thought out Pub is having hooks to hang purses. The Cot & Cobble is a well-thought out Pub as there was a nice brass hook to hang my purse. We had asked the bartender what time dinner was served and he said shortly after 4:00 p.m. after they cleaned up The Carvery. The bar tender must have advised someone we wanted to eat dinner as another staff member asked us if we had asked about dinner and brought us two menus to look at.While we drank our pints, the same gentleman came over to say he had a table ready for us. We were feeling pampered. My husband and I had the Portabella mushroom appetizer which was very good. We both ordered the fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was nice and hot and tasty. Mushy peas were very good too. There were a ton of chips and my husband and I could have shared one serving. We pushed the stomach full meter by ordering their Rhubarb Crumble. OMG it was divine with custard, whipped cream AND ice cream. The management certainly takes pride in The Cot as it was very clean inside and out. The windows looking towards the Mayo Rover were extremely clean. Before we head back to the States we hope to eat at The Cot & Cobble again.

We were a family group of twelve on a Friday night for dinner. The ambiance is lovely helped by the courtyard entrance. The attentive and friendly service added greatly to our enjoyment. The special birthday treat for our son arranged at very short notice on a busy night was most appreciated. The food is delicious and yes the portion sizes are hearty and god value! The house wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thanks to the Dillon's team for looking after us and we look forward to returning when next over the West.

We were driving along the coast and stopped in at the Tea Room at Belleek Castle in Ballina, County Mayo. It is in an attached building on the side of the Castle and it is very attractive. We had excellent Cappuccini there! It was sunny and we leisured there a bit looking out at the courtyard. We walked through a bit of the hotel and saw the room that was salvaged from an Armada ship. It was very interesting to see! The staff was very nice.Dear Bourlingueur60,Thank you for taking your time to leave us feedback of your visit to the Jack Fenn Cafe. It is a pleasure to hear you enjoyed your visit. The cafe has such a lovely atmosphere and what better way to enjoy a sunny day than relaxing in our courtyard.I do hope you have a chance to visit again in the future perhaps for an overnight stay, a guided tour of the castle or even a dining experience in The Library Restaurant.Warm Regards,Shannen

We turned up without a booking on Saturday night and managed to get a table straight away. The menu was varied. The staff were very friendly, professional & efficient. The food itself was absolutely delicious. I can't rate it highly enough...we couldn't believe our luck...we even shared our mains..I would highly recommend the wings with hot sauce to start as well. But the chocolate brownie was simply something to be applauded...we fought over it! I will return to Enniscrone if only just to eat here. Heavenly!

Lovely restaurant offering tremendous value. Surf and Turf was very tasty, and an old favourite - baked Alaska was enjoyed by all. Vegetarian in our party was very impressed with her meal. Would recommend.
