I am writing this review to follow on from Simon Browns review as I was sitting at this table. The restaurant came back to that review with a rude and completely untrue set of statements. When we received our meal my motherâs was lukewarm so when a waiter came pass She asked for it to be sent back. At the time we had ordered some salad so she put it on her plate to eat with her meal. After almost 15 minutes her meal finally came back. It had clearly just been microwaved, but they couldnât even be bothered to take off the small bit of salad of bread off the plate so that was also hot. After complaining about the cold food we were told that it was our mothers fault as she had been feeding her children, but I think her 14 and12 year old sons were able to feed themselves just fine. For not a great meal we found it was really overpriced. I needed to write this review as Simons review had been twisted to make the restaurant look like the victim of this bad meal. Be weary that some of the responses are probably a load of lies as the response to Simons review was disgustingly untrue. The fruit never falls far from the plant, such a father as a son. I have already responded to your previous review and have no time to waste with a kid. I have to work here ...

This is a nice restaurant with a lovely lake side terrace. We had a good meal without a reservation and the staff were very welcoming. The mussels in a tomatoe sauce were outstanding. We also had duck which was good and a mixed seafood plate which was good too.Worth a visit.

We had lunch at the restaurant yesterday. Our plan was to walk towards the ferry terminal and head to Bellagio for lunch. However walking past this place we couldnât resist the patio and the views. As per previous reviews there is a set daily menu with only one option for started main course and dessert (there is also a childrenâs menu). It would appear that the place is run by a father and son duo but I will not be surprised if itâs coordinated by mama in the background! We were greeted with complementary Prosecco and and canapé. We dined on rabbit and my daughter had Pasta in tomato sauce which was simple but delicious. A fantastic afternoon. We ended up staying and finishing the delicious bottle of wine! I canât recommend this place enough :-)

Aubergine pasta starter was lovely. Staff were pleasant & efficient. Rabbit main course had lots of neat &was delicious but the polenta was tasteless & the vegetables tasted as if theyâd been boiling all day. Notice that quite a few people have commented on the awful veg but They ve got a constant queue so probably think they din t need to change anything.

Lovely little restaurant in old building. Have the Trout entree it was sensational. As was the apple tart. The risotto was not so exciting. A friendly authentic restaurant when you want to get away from the crazy crowds and tourist energy. Not easy to find but worth it.

We would like to thank all our guests that visit and reviewed us in our first 8 years of activity, Deborah & Joost. Our Winebar-Enoteca is specialized in platters prepared at the moment with local sliced cuts and cheeses.we don't not serve pasta, or mainco
we loved the helpful service and generous nibbles, had the wine samples, very good. did not like....... the stools, no chairs, canât spend a meal time on a stool.also, nice location away from the traffic, quiet rooftop terrace.

Went there tonight with a group of 7. Two in the group ordered the ravioli. When I saw the dish I actually thought it was an appetizer. 5 mini ravioli for over 20 Euros. I mentioned something to our waiter and he blew me off. I had the filet which was fabulous. 3 people had the lobster with lasagna noodles which they enjoyed. Another had sea bass which she enjoyed. The waiter never returned to the table to see if we needed anything. No salad on menu, but we were able to order. Very fresh!Very pricey, but we were warned.Nice lady thank you for the nice review, but i don't understand why you are not satisfied ...you say that the pasta was good, the fillet also and the salad that was not on the menu , good and fresh ...so it became all tragic for the price of ravioli (⬠16?) ...making a complaint about homemade pasta is at least questionable ... fast-food is better?!

We were very excited about eating at this restaurant especially after reading all the reviews. However we really do not think it was worth the trip into the hills. Tables are set out on a very uninspiring courtyard it felt like you were eating in someoneâs garden. Service was excellent but the food was average and disappointing. We ordered the cheeseballs anchor gnocchi to start. The cheeseballs were on a bed of salad that was inedible but the cheese balls were good. The good gnocchi was okay but nothing special. Full names we ordered the beef kebab because so many people had said it was good and we also ordered the chicken Milanese. The chicken was dry and so very average. I have had better so many times before it was served with chips. The beef kebab was nothing to write home about in fact we were so disappointed. Deserts were good but not special. I have had better tiramisu in England. We had to get a taxi from the town Iâm very surprised anyone manage to walk up there as it was quite a journey maybe there was a quicker route but we could not see it. It was an expensive meal for what it was and I certainly wouldnât rush to go back. I just feel I shouldnât have read the reviews because perhaps I was expecting something special and this restaurant is not special.

We stumbled upon this treasure of a restaurant on our way back from Lake Lugano. It is a cosy little restaurant nestled in the middle of picturesque surroundings of mountains. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. There is a small family run business feel to it. Some of the diners clearly frequented the restaurant regularly. The food is very good and prices are reasonable. Well worth visiting if youâre planning a visit to Lake Como.

We were staying in Porlezza overnight to break our journey from lake Como to lake Lugano. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to trattoria della vigna - itâs truly a hidden gem! The restaurant was busy, yet still relaxing and romantic in the evening. The food was extremely tasty and the service was efficient yet welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting - we booked via the phone in the morning.
