The restaurant is located on the Puerto Piramides sea shore, within the Peninsula Valdes. There is only a few meters between the restaurant and the sea, where you can easily sight whales in their natural habitat. The menu is very diverse, with several dis

Awful. 6 pound sterling for one of the worse salads in history. It´s not so much the money but the sheer lack of effort. The 2 processed strips of "ham" were some kind of luncheon meat. The one processed strip of cheese was hard on one edge. These were just thrown on top of the rest of the filler. The cabbage was also dry.Totally over priced as well. The bread was dry where it had obviously been cut hours before and left to go hard. Olives were nice but then hey got those from a jar. Avoid this place! Go across the street (no idea if better, but worth a try) or bring something with you from Puerto Madryn. If it weren´t for the lack of eating options for visitors in the town/ on the peninsula, this place would surely go under.Photo attached

Coming back from the yellow submarine whale watching, we ended up in this place that was overcrowded. Food was not good, cooked in tasteless way or fried in oil that was not warm enough. Goodwill but not equipped to welcome large amount of customers.

The Paradise

We ate here on Christmas Eve, it was expensive (nearly ARS$900 for two adults plus two children) but everything was delicious, especially the scallops! There was some initial confusion due to language barriers, but an English-speaking waiter came to our rescue. At midnight, each table was given a bottle of fizz (not a glass per person, a whole bottle!!!) and everyone went round and hugged everyone else... We had so much fun, especially the children, who felt thoroughly spoiled and had their first sips of fizzy wine.

like so many restaurants in arg. this place doesn't open until 8pm. being philistine americans who want to eat at 6 we bypassed this place on our first night in piramides. mistake. second night we held on and were well gratified. a laid back, cozy interior was inhabited by a gracious hostess/waitress (aldana, she may also be the owner?) who made us feel immediately welcome. the service was better than argentine average and the food was very good all around. as the evening wore on aldana made sure we had everything we needed and left us with a warm memory of a pleasant evening well spent.

Very nice place, just in front of the beach. Excellent food. Good menu, variety of plates, desserts and wines are going to give you enough choice to have an incredible dinner. The waiters are so kind! Nice people who clearly like there jobs and are helping to keep the best remembrance of the place. I had the lucky to stay at the Restingas also. Absolutely the BEST CHOICE in Piramides!!!

we came in for dinner on our first night. we were the only table seated inside as the outside was full so we were pretty hard to miss, yet we finally had to get up and ask the waitress to come take our order after a good 15-20 minutes of sitting. i would have understood if she'd been in the weeds and running her butt off but she was spending a good deal of her time talking to the young man who looked like he might work there, although there was never any active indication of this. we finally placed our order and received an average, uninspired meal. a very nice woman came over to apologize for the wait and being the easy-going twosome that we are we struck up a conversation. though we never did get her position, she seemed vaguely managerial. we mentioned dessert and she recommended the choc. mousse. we ordered it and it was quite good and a lovely surprise. we also ordered tea along with it. no tea. halfway through the mousse we reminded her. rather than simply getting it herself, she passed the request on to the phantom waitress and left. we never did get our tea. i've had limp service before but this was something else altogether.

Since it can be challenging to travel as a vegetarian, I would like to mention that this restaurant has some vegetarian options. The vegetable ravioli is nice. There are also some pizza options and a lentil burger (didn’t try that one). The service is good and staff is friendly. Another advantage of this place is the view over the bay. + Child friendly + Vegetarian options !! Accepts only Visa creditcards

La Estacion

... and Saturday I'll eat at "La Estacion" ... this really is a wonderful place to be: whether to sit on the veranda to sip a beer (recommended: chilly Otro Mundo Golden Ale) or to stay inside the very nice outfitted restaurant, enjoying superb food.We preferred to sit inside, had a cocktail and a beer and browsed through the menu. We decided to have the beef and the pollock. Both were very good, both came with vegetables, french fries and, the pollock, with rice. The beef was "jugoso" as ordered, the pollock was pan-fried and not too spicy, so you could very well taste the excellent fish. We enjoyed the food very much. Our waiter Santiago was very helpful and gave us good recommendations on the wines and the service was very friendly. But what made that place really special to me where all the posters, photos and concert tickets that were placed on the walls: Mario, the owner and manager, is a big music fan, like me, and he showed me round his place: tickets and photos from concerts he visited, album covers, poster of his favourite bands ... He told me about the 80's music scene in Argentina and when we found out that "The Cure" is one of our most favourite bands ...That really was a great evening and we are looking forward to our next stay to sit on the veranda sipping a beer ... and listening to The Cure ... muchas gracias, Mario and Santiago
