Arriviamo a Lamezia Terme con il treno, auto in affitto, cerchiamo un posto dove mangiare nelle vicinanze.Mi attraggono le foto del Santa Barbara, il prezzo dicono che sia buono. Andiamo anche se ho fame e ne vorrei uno più vicino.Lo troviamo tramite l'app di tripadvisor perché è un po' nascosto, si deve scendere una breve rampa.Il parcheggio interno è pieno, lasciamo l'auto sulla strada.Il locale è accogliente, il personale anche, ordiniamo un antipasto misto per assaggiare diverse specialità Calabre.Poi un primo a base di funghi porcini della Sila con due paste diverse, un dolce tipico a base di pistacchi e...Caffe e digestivo.Tutto ottimo, anche il vino della casa (della zona).Speriamo solo che non ci siano pattuglie con l'etilometro lungo la strada per Le Castella.Il conto buono, ma poi si sa che in Calabria non si spende come a Roma

Siamo venuti per due volte nell'arco di poche settimane e siamo rimasti entrambe le volte estremamente soddisfatti. La carne è di primissima qualità , gli hamburger sono eccellenti (consiglio in particolare il panino chiamato "Il gladiatore"), decisamente buona anche la grigliata. Ma la cosa innovativa ed insolita per Catanzaro è la presenza in meno degli arrosticini: ce ne sono di tre tipi, tutti buonissimi e sfiziosi!

This restaurant was recommended by my travel agent and was very good. It was a 5 minute walk from the Hotel a Palace along the sea wall. The restaurant itself is a half block in from the sea road. The food was very fresh and well prepared. Good selection of local wines. We liked the first meal so much, we went back the second night we were in town. The Bronzino was excellent. At first I was intimidated since it was served whole, was able to manage just fine. The starters were excellent and the pasta was home made and delicious. Could not fit in dessert the first night, second night I was out ordered by my brother for dessert. What I had was good, but his lemon bomb looked great and he gave me one lousy taste of his, it was delicious

This restaurant is simply a fantastic place to try typical south italian food, i have been here several times, try different dishes and always quality and service are at the top.Very simple place within a butchery shop, inside a window display with meat, a small kitchen , but what comes out of that kitchen is heaven. Wonderful, fresh food.I love it.

My wife and I stayed in Catanzaro Lido for a week this past May, and ate at La Tana Public House one night. At first, the music was louder than we liked and we were about to leave. The waiter offered to turn down and we stayed. We had a nice, enjoyable meal. Not the usual Italian food that we love, but a nice break.

Strictly meat. All types and delicious. The couple that run this place do so efficiently and make you most welcome when you come again. It's neither cheap nor expensive and you can sit inside or out in the open air passage.Park by the promenade and walk back in three minutes; it's a busy street. If you like good Italian ice-cream there's a charming elderly couple that know their trade just across the street on the corner.

I've been told by a friend who recently been to Agriturismo LA Stalla that if I was going in holiday to Calabria I had to go to eat in this place. Well let me tell you indeed my friend was more than right. I went yesterday and with me I took my mother and nephew. I was shocked by the decoration of the place and atmosphere, the welcome from the staff which made us choose the seats. Not to mention I never knew the owner was part of the staff. Anyways there was so much on the menu to choose from. That I've asked the owner to bring us a bit of everything to try . Oh my god let me tell you. I was amazed by the flavours and moisture of the meats not to mention the presentation of the plates. They don't rush you to leave the place although was packed and people waiting instead you could eat without pressure which these days is rare to find. I ate everything that was put on the table.There was food which I did not even know what it was but it was explained to me when each plate was presented to the table. I arrived in Calabria yesterday morning and I went there yesterday evening. I have already organized a party for next week Tuesday with friends and family to go there and celebrate my nephew birthday which I think that we will enjoy more rather than go to eat a Pizza. So I am so grateful to my friend that recomended me this place which anyhow I will return with more than pleasure.
