Our kitchen work in the traditional style, using only fresh, locally sourced, seafood and seasonal organic highest quality produce. We create our tasting menus as a trip between the old and healthy Sicilian recipes to discover the wealth of the Ionian sea
Dined here as a family of 4 with children. Really enjoyed ourselves, beautiful roof terrace dining with relaxing ambiance. Excellent service and food was amazing, one of the best meals weâve had here. They were very accommodating with our children, making them meals that were not on the menu. We hope to return.
We were driving around wine country outside Linguaglossalooking for a winery when we stumbled across the sign for this place on the highway. We turned up the side road then onto an overgrown lanewaywhere we came upon a somewhat rundown building with a wraparound porch with a Golden Labrador sleeping on it. âLooks like my kind of placeâ I thought to myself as we quietly stepped past the dog as not to wake him. The interior had somewhat the same appearance as the exterior but you could tell at one time this was a going concern. There was only one other person in the place and he tipped his glass to us which I took as a good sign. A wiry man who I took as the proprietor/cook came out of the kitchen greeted us profusely and sat us down at the table next to customer # 1 who I took as a regular after he helped himself to a shot of liquor from the bar as he made his way out. I ordered a pasta with creme sauce and pistachio while my wife ordered pasta with garlic, oil and mushroom sauce and we shared a mixed salad.I had a local beer and she had glass of house red. The combination of creme sauce topped with ground pistachios on my pasta was heavenly and my wife ( who is Italian) said her pasta was very good as well. Our bill for everything was â¬28. I was smiling,my wife was smiling, and the dog (who had woken up) was smiling as we left
If you're in Mascali and want to eat locally, you could do far worse than this little restaurant tucked into the corner of the campsite. A lovely chef, good service in a bright room with a view of trees and Mt Etna, and (among other things) great pizzas. Try the Mokambo Pizza for something unique and delicious!
Just happened to stay in Fondachello for a night and say this restaurant through TripAdvisor.Good service. Nice local wine. Very good food even though all shellfish was frozen (as mentioned in the menu). Good atmosphere. Charges for the table but no surprise there. Recommended.

The mixed seafood antipasti platter with both cold, raw, and hot dishes is more than enough to make a meal out of. At â¬16 it was a VERY good deal. The dishes ranged anywhere from good, very good, and excellent. Nothing was terrible, although I could say I expected better of the fried calamari. I definitely recommend this spot, especially if you want a good value.

o Food: Grilled Swordfish was excellent; Involtini from swordfish was more bread crumbs than fisho Ambience: okay- Service: Not attentive. Brought the "contorno", the sidedish, not with the dinner (one before dinner, one during the dinner). And the dinner was not served for the both of us at the same time.

We were recommended by the owner of the villa we were staying in to go to this restaurant as one of the best in the area. Unfortunately our experience was anything but good. The service was terrible, the food average. The waiter was almost rude and showed no interest in explaining the menu options to us and all our meals all arrived at different times. Not a quality experience and the place was fairly empty. In retrospect I am not sure why we did not walk out except that it was getting late and we were hungry. If you want something special there is a much better restaurant not far away.
