Our visit at 1877 was a nice but not something to remember as anything special. I had an risotto with clams and vegetables but the only taste in it was the clams. The service is fine but distant- not as friendly and heartwarming as it usually is in Sicily.

As already mentioned by many, portions are massive, you will not leave hungry. We came over on a busy Saturday evening, all tables were moved outside, place packed with people, by the look of it most booked in advance. Pizza was fantastic, burgers massive, pasta extremely tasty. Waiting staff coped with everything in a very professional manor and promptly. When we returned mid-week the place felt abandoned, just two tables taken (one of them by us), the quality of the service and food remained on the same high level so highly recommend.

We had a delicious lunch at Osteria Garibaldi. We started with caprese and procuitto con melon, and then ordered the INVOLTINI AL PISTACCHIO and the Ravioli Pistacchio di Bronti. The food and service were great! We would recommend this restaurant.

At the Mien restaurant, you will have the opportunity to enjoy meat, fish and vegetarian dishes prepared with the best raw materials chosen with the taste and quality of food given. Extensive wine cellar with national and Sicilian references will allow yo
The service was slow and disorganised. There is no house wine, only expensive wine by the glass or bottle. The food was not great, the pasta dishes were bland and lacked flavour. Portions are small, it's not great value for money. Oddly the window from the toilet opens into the dining area. All in all, not a great experience; there are plenty of other restaurants in Nicolosi that are vastly better.

Similar to some of the other reviews on here, we were staying at Alberto's AirBnB up the road. This restaurant is within walking distance of both Nicolosi town centre and the AirBnB aforementioned. It is tucked down a quaint little street and beautifully set looking over the landscape below. The food was locally sourced perfection. We tried the mixed starter, and both a pizza and a pasta. All were very high quality. A must visit if youre in Nicolosi! It was a great pleasure to have your and you girlfriend as guest at our restaurant. I hope your stay in Sicily has given you so much emotion and kindness, just as you are. Enjoy life. See you! Giusi

Went there without a booking on a Saturday night. Place is big but packed to the brim. We were asked to wait for 30 mins. It was something more than that (around an hour) but I couldn't complain because I had no booking. The pizza ordered arrived within a reasonable time notwithstanding all the patrons there were. It was great. Ingredients were fresh. Pizza size was bigger than normal. Prices are good.

This is a very nice museum regarding the history of the Etna volcano. The initial presentation was very good, interesting and informative. The real highlights to me were the videos showing previous eruptions and aftermath. I highly recommend that you visit when in Nicolosi.

After a day up at the Etna, we looked for a restaurant in Nicolosi and found LâOsteria del Siciliano. We were a party of 6, family and friends. The food, typically Sicilian, was outstanding from the amuse bouche to the nice carte des digestifs. It was fresh, prepared with taste, delicious and nicely served. The seafood appetizers were incredible, and so was the pasta alla catanese! The two owners run the place themselves, and pay attention to every detail, being present to make sure all goes fine, but in a very discrete way. Personnel is attentive, serviceable and very kind, also with our âdemandingâ children. We will certainly come back!

Best meal in Sicily, hands down. A must stop on the way down from Mount Etna. Friendly and attentive service authentic Sicilian cuisine period great meats and pasta. Fresh pasta include Tagliatore ragu Tagliatelle pea sauce or sausage sauce. I suggest you share your pasta. Everything is made on premise . Sausage Lamb Chops, steaks etc the wine is also made on premise. French fries are to die for the meat are fresh and cooked order. A must!!! stop!
