We visited the place twice during the Benicarlo Artichoke festival. They had a special menu of artichoke dishes at low prices given the quality and size of the offerings. We had artichoke tapas, fried artichokes with ham, fried artichokes with vegetables and egg, artichokes bravas, all delicious. They have a good selection of wines by the glass that are well priced. There is one charming lady doing the serving, occasionally aided by the hard working chef. They are friendly and kind, though were overwhelmed when the restaurant was full for Saturday lunch.

Jos olet alueella, kannattaa poiketa tähän mukavaan korttelikapakkaan. Ystävällinen emäntä, edulliset hinnat, maukas ruoka ja välitön tunnelma palkitsevat vierailun. Tämä ei ole mikään Rotisseurs-paikka, mutta jos et sitä etsikään, on Nuevo Rayfe juuri sopiva.Monet ruokapaikat aukeavat vasta myöhään. Meillä oli nälkä jo 18 aikaan. Tilasimme pääruoat, oluen, viinin, jälkiruoat ja kahvit. Lasku kahdelta 28â¬. Mielenkiintoinen sisustus tuli kaupan päälle. Tulemme uudestaan maistelemaan talon kehutut tapasit.

Sitting outside in a narrow street inside a castle is a nice setting for a dinner. The waiters were welcoming, but the food we got was average. Not bad in any way, but nothing out of the ordinary. The menu is probably more suited for lunch than dinner. The restaurant is probably one of the cheaper ones inside the castle. Expect to pay 6-12 euros per person, excluding beverages.
