We called to make a reservation for the lunch but the lady owner " Mamen " answered: " they DO NOT make reservations. So we showed up early. The place is small and was empty at that time . Altho she said to Us: SORRY ITS ALL RESERVED !! I thought she was making a joke, BUT WASN'T... SERIOUSLY ????, are you mocking on Us ? We had a BAD argue, not very happy, she gave us a table to sit . The 2nd time we repeat the visit to the place just BC the FOOD is really delicious, but she remembered well the argue we had, and left US waiting for over 1;15 hr .( and ADD : If you don't like it ... thats the door ) - So, SHE had a terrible attitude; but Pau her husband, cooks GREAT! so if You can deal with a "lady owner" who has an ATTITUDE just BC , you will enjoy the food . STILL NOT SURE IF IT WORTH ALL THAT SHOW OFF :-(

I can't wait to go here again. I had been traveling to Europe for business once a month for nearly 2 years. With countless trips to Spain in the mix, I wanted to wait until I had a fair sampling of paella before I wrote a review. This tops the list. I was addicted to the homemade garlic aoli which went so well with what seemed to be pretty basic but fresh bread. By recommendation of my Spanish colleague I was doing business with, I had the seafood paella. It was out of this world, especially when I added some aoli to the mix...If you are planning to be on the eastern coast of Spain and/or find yourself anywhere near Benicarlo, you must stop here!I can't wait to go back!Thank you for your kind words and especially because he liked both our paella, this fact does nothing to verify reputation that precedes us in this dish as ours. Thank you for your reference on Trip Advisor and see us again anytime.Sure find another form of rice that you will love too! A hug!

COR DE CARXOFA is the new innovative gastronomy concept of Chef Anay Bueno, in the coastal city of Benicarló. Elaborations based on vegetable, proximity and ecological ingredients. Gourmet tapas, menu of the day, healthy pastry, cooking school, among othe
Just been here for an amazing lunch with my husband and we are very impressed. A superb cafe/bistro for any vegetarian visiting the beautiful town of benicarlo. Great location and chef Anay has done a marvellous refurbishment of the building, keeping much of the antique interior with a modern twist. Enough of the building let's talk food and drink. We were really impressed with the menu, all vegetarian and lots for vegan and gluten free diets etc all you need to do is ask and the chef is very accommodating. Amazing tapas with drinks as well, quite different than the usual all sourced very locally and organically. It's not the cheapest place but I believe you get value for your money and would definitely recommend a visit. We chose 3 tapas to start with, all amazing and unique loved the original version of the patatas bravas. We enjoyed this with a fab cheeky crispy white organic wine. What's not to like. Didn't have room for a pudding, shame. Looking forward to going again though!

The blue Mediterranean and the sand welcom the guest into this modern restaurant, with views of the formidable Peñiscola castle. Avant garde decoration of simple lÃnes, built of concrete, steel, glass and wood. Traditional culinary proposals in every sens
The setting is glorious. The sevrice impeccable, caring, polite and unobtrusive. The menu exciting. The food inventive and delicious. This isn't a meal, it;s an experience! The red tuna tataki is an explosion of flavors in the mouth and the presentation is worthy of a museum. Cannot recommend enough.

We wanted an alternative to the buffet at the Parador where we were staying, and on the Tripadvisor reviews decided to try the Neptuno, which is only a five minute walk from both the Parador and the beach. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, as was the service. It is the only fish restaurant we have encountered in Spain that fillets some of the dishes, which was a bonus. Altogether a very pleasant and inexpensive evening.Gracias por su tiempo en valorarnos . esperamos verles de nuevo .saludos

Every time I go to Trangol restaurant (and I go often), I enjoy a superb meal. Food quality is above expectations, presentation is adjusted to modern standart and the best of all is the combination of ingredients together with the way they are cooked: traditional Spanish meals, brought to actual kitchen. The place is quite and confortable. Even if there are many people, you will feel it peacefully. No doubt, this is the best restaurant in Benicarló.

We stayed one night in Benicarlo (at the Parador) and chose to ear here because the Paella menu looked appealing; we were not disappointed. We had an aperitif in the small bar that is linked to the restaurant before starting our meal at about nine. On this menu you get three starter plates to share, followed by the paella. All the dishes were delicious, and the service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant was quiet, so I cannot say how they cope when busy.If you like seafood, you will enjoy your meal. We spent about â¬80 for two, including wine (a bottle plus dessert wine), so it is also good value.Heartily recommended!

Fabulous outside evening dinner on Saturday night with friends near the bustling promenade and marina. Very friendly knowledgable attentive waiting staff who worked with us on our broken spanish and their broken english. We ordered a mix of starters including their pride of local jamon which they cut to order at the adjacent jamon station. The flavours were delicious. The Andalusian calamari was beautifully cooked with each piece being al dente soft captured in a light crisp coating. However the star of the show were the fillet steaks cooked perfectly and oozing with succulence accompanied with a smooth balanced Protos from Ribera del Duero....no space for postre!!!Gracias por su calificación y reseña. Todas las opiniones nos ayudan a evolucionar y mejorar en nuestro servicio.
