The title is everything, delicious meal, excellent wine, gold and funny service.I've been there few month ago with my family for have a lunch, we chose one of their menu with a bottle of Riserva San Laro, Superb wine.We begun with delicious starter, I won't forget the incredible onion soup with bread and cheese, Its true name is "Zuppa delle Fontanelle". After the starter we eat pasta with wild boar meat, I'd never taste wild boar meat, but I could say it's very good course of pasta, and finally we chose pork meat for second course with oven homemade potatoes (it's not a potatoes in envolope, they had a different taste, lovely taste).We're full but still had to eat the sweet, I chose a cake with pistachio and the other a cake with ricotta cheese and pear.

My trip to Agristurismo Monte Maggiore in Formicola, Italy, was just the kind of off-the-beaten-path travel experience I'd hoped to find. For starters, this very tucked-away restaurant was fantastic, both in terms of service and food. Our hostess, Magdelena (also the owner), was extremely charming and never gave up trying to communicate with us despite our language differences. Each dish she served, cooked by her chef/son, was unique, delicious and prepared from scratch with farm-to-table ingredients. The restaurant is perched up on a hillside and has an outdoor seating area (that we weren't able to enjoy as the weather was too cool) that offers a beautiful view of Formicola and the surrounding countryside. The 40-minute drive from Caserta to Formicola through the Italian countryside was worth the trip in and of itself; the dinner was the icing on the cake. Formicola, almost completely untrammeled by foreign tourists, is a tiny 11th century village nestled in the mountains, replete with narrow cobblestone streets, beautifully maintained buildings adjacent to wonderfully weathered abandoned homes loaded with old-world charm. I highly recommend the experience.

For a beautiful, relaxing, delicious stay in magnificent countryside it would be harder to do better than a few days at Le Campestre being pampered by Liliana and her handsome and generous family. Their remarkable cheese, il conciliato romano, alone is worth a visit - Alice Waters who stopped by the day we were there certainly thought so. As son Manuel told me, "having guests isn't work for us, it's pleasure". And it shows.

Mare e Monti is a spacious restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes-- their specialty being seafood.I was blown away with just how tasty their dishes were and how large their portions were too! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience fine dining for a reasonable price. The service was also amazing. Mena, our hostess, was so friendly and welcoming and always made sure that we were satisfied throughout the dinner.
