The Grand Hotel Vanvitelli is an iconic hotel in Caserta and it become a reference point for tourists, artists and businessmen. Unexpected openings and airy spaces, large meeting rooms and 240 rooms in a big park-pool. The Grand Hotel Vanvitelli is the royal residence, with all comforts and a perfect hospitality.
Its quite possible what they say on their website is true and i bet the gym and spa are nice. We would not know. We arrived and left pretty quickly within a few hours as it was not at all what we expected but rather a very flat and dissapointing start to a weeks holiday. What they dont say is that the hotel is in an industrial zone, that it is surrounded by very busy roads on all sides , that you can not walk into the town centre. It is def not a family hotel. It might suit people seeking a stop over or those that want to use it as a base for going elsewhere, in which case you must have a car.

Hotel Dei Cavalieri is the only Hotel in Caserta's city centre, in the famous Vanvitelli Square. Placed at the beginning of the shopping area, few steps far from the Royal Palace of Vanvitelli, the structure is designed with elegance and details care. It is the perfect synthesis of style and modern comforts. Breackfast is included in the room rate. The Hotel has also a Restaurant, la Bouganville...a welcoming atmosphere, where careful attention to details meets an intimate and evocative atmosphere. The restaurant has 70 seats between dining room and what is our corner of magic moments ... the outside "chiostro". Our cuisine is simple, based on the use of ingredients of first choice and exaltation of flavors and natural scents of the daily catch or fine meats. Our goal is simple: the well-being of our guests through the quality of the food, the care of the atmosphere and attentive service all needs.

It is not a 4 stars hotel. It is completely old structure with terrible smell. Furnitures and furnishings are old. Please consider this hotel as 2 stars hotel. I have never seen a 4 stars hotel like this in Italy. Terrible experience. Please do not go there.

I have to say the place is amazing. The service and what they offer not so much. We came at 10am, check in at 3pm so decided to enjoy the sun but everything was booked up so we sat on a platform but had to leave because of maintenance issues then asked for a kayak and it wasn't possible so again disappointing. Took a bike, went for a swim when we came back at 7pm we couldn't take it again because " all services are shut at 7pm" what a crazy idea. I'm staying paying €230 for 1 night and can't take a bike so we asked for kayak again and was a NO! Room is nice but sockets are out and broken! This place could be amazing but I guess they are trying to save money So bad...

Cas e Charming House exceeded our expectations. Location was ideal, rooms were spotless. You can tell Ira takes great care and pride in maintaining a clean, functional rental property. For breakfast we were attentively waited upon and the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Ira was easy to contact using WhatsAPp and responded quickly to any questions we had. The place is truly “charming” as that is the perfect adjective to describe Ira and her “cas e charming house”. Thank you for such a delightful experience.

The Plaza Caserta is a four-star superior hotel conveniently situated for Naples and Caserta city centre.Comfortably appointed rooms, top-flight services and warm welcome await those who travel for business or pleasure. The hotel is a modern building set around a plaza covered by a 4700-square-metre futuristic glass dome. The hotel rooms, restaurants, bars, conference centre and foyer all look out onto the plaza. Thus the Plaza Caserta is the focal point of an area of over 40 hectares created from the major conversion of an industrial estate, which includes both a new business and residential park.
I stayed last week with my family and taking three double rooms, non-smoking. In all three rooms, air conditioning was not customizable, and therefore conditioned to 18 degrees. The thermostat allows you to change the temperature, but it was not respected, so we had to switch off. In my room, there was a very strong smell of smoke, and multiple cigarette burns, both in the moble of the room, and in several places in the bathroom. In the evening we decided to have dinner all 5 in the restaurant, and we took different dishes, from the first to the dessert. The quality of all the dishes is really poor, and unacceptable for a hotel of this level. And finally, the next morning at breakfast ... a great selection of Briosche of all types, but clearly not fresh. I took several, but the result was the same. All products of very low quality. I travel a lot for work, and it was the first time I stayed in a hotel in this chain. I had never had so many negative things, in respect of the 4 stars. I do not think that it respects your quality level, but that it is due to a local management to be reviewed.

The treatment we received and how it felt being at this hotel was just bizarre. It’s hard to explain. It’s such a beautiful hotel, but we felt very ‘out of place’, like we were unwelcome guests crashing someone’s wedding. As it turns out, this hotel has an attached wedding facility (which has it’s own separate pool, banquet hall and private beach area), as well as a ‘beach club’ for public/paid day use. So the hotel has a constant stream of people coming to the beach club from outside the hotel, or people who rent out the restaurant for parties. This hotel seems like it’s more of an ‘events centre’ for locals, where groups rent out the space for weddings and special dinners, and for ‘beach day use’, than it is a proper hotel meant to cater to their guests. I think the former is their main revenue stream, as this is where they focus their attention and good manners. Hotel guests come second, or third of forth. The website lists all the languages spoken at this hotel, but only one or two people were able to communicate with us in English. Most of the staff did not speak English and seemed put off or annoyed when we tried to speak broken Italian to communicate with them. The bill we were given at check out was in Italian, so we were not able to verify what was charged to our room. Only after we checked out of the hotel (early in the morning to catch our flight back home) did I notice (through google translate) that we were charged for ‘beach chairs’, “spiaggia noleggio giornaliero”, that we did not use, an additional 70 euros per day! We were told the pool was free to use, but apparently, we were still charged 70 euros per day. I can only assume this is because we ‘checked out’ the towels by the pool (they ask for your room card to use the towels). When I contacted hotels.com to help me (through the app chat) they got on the phone with the hotel and tried to talk to them about it, but then they hung up on her! She told me I would have to deal with the hotel myself. I emailed the hotel, and not surprisingly, I have not heard back from them. I’ve never heard of being charged such a ridiculous amount of money to use the hotel pool towels. If you look at the other reviews on this website, you'll see that the hotel only responds to people who have left good comments, not complaints. That is a sign of how they will deal with you if you have any issues there, they will completely ignore you and your concerns. There are two restaurants on site, however, we were not allowed to use the Mamita restaurant (inside). I booked a reservation for the restaurant with someone at the front desk, but I got a call later on to notify me that my reservation was moved to the beach club - again (which is outside), with no explanation. I can’t help but assume it was because we did not speak Italian, as there were other Italian speaking people in the Mamita restaurant as we walked through it to get to the beach club. Instead, we were seated next to a children’s birthday party, where we had to listen to them yell and scream and have mini meltdowns while the hired entertainers tried to get them to eat their food. Even their own parents didn’t sit with them. This is how they treat their hotel guests. Another issue that came up with making a reservation was with the jacuzzi in our spa suite room. We booked it for 9pm, to use after dinner, but when we returned at 9:20pm, most of the water had already drained out. The jacuzzi is controlled by the front desk, so I had to go downstairs to ask them to fill it up again. They must have forgotten about us after, because the jacuzzi was left on and not properly drained after the timed use, and it woke us up at 1:30am, the day before we had to leave for Rome at 7am for our flight back home. The jets are very loud and woke everybody up and when I tried to call the front desk to get them to turn it off, the person did not understand what I was saying. I had to take pictures of our room and the jacuzzi and walk all the way down to front desk in the middle of the night on the other side of the hotel to explain that we wanted him to turn it off so we could get back to sleep. After a while he finally understood, and just nodded his head and said “off”. No apology offered. I don’t want to assume the worst, but I can’t help but wonder if waking us up in the middle of the night before our early morning flight was deliberate. As a result, we had very little sleep to prepare us for the long day of travel ahead (a long overseas flight). If you do not have a car, this place is difficult to get to. We were coming from Positano and had to hire a private driver to take us here and another one to take us to the airport. Our driver from Positano was very friendly and professional and was actually concerned for us as he pulled up the hotel. He gave us his personal number to call him if we needed help - I guess he saw it coming. I wish we knew sooner, I would have told him to keep driving! The driver the hotel ordered for us did not introduce himself or speak one word to us, not even Ciao. He talked in Italian to other people on the phone all the way back to airport. And again, did not say one thing to us the entire time. I guess it was a fitting end to our stay at this hotel and summed up how we were treated our entire stay. There are so many nice hotels out there, with much better service. Your time in Italy is precious, don't waste it on this hotel. Looks aren't everything.

Villa Maria Cristina is a beautiful "boutique" hotel few steps far from the center of Caserta city , famous throughout the world for its Royal Palace and only 20 Km from Naples International Airport It has 18 rooms including Standards, Superiors and Juniors Suite A restaurant “Don Carlos”up to 110 persons A lounge Bar 2 Meeting rooms with the biggest one able to accomodate up to 50 guests A swimming pool and garden Free parking: covered garage Free Wireless connection throughout the hotel
Fine option if you're in Caserta, this property is tucked into the center of town. Modern room with OK appointments and great, renovated bathroom. Staff was friendly & attentive, if not the high-level of service we had experienced elsewhere (didn't take bags to room, self park, etc.) Parking was easy & on-site, and the pool is huge, clean and worth the visit especially in the summer heat. I'm willing to assume that the restaurant had an off day, but the service & food were disappointing.
