Before sitting at the table we asked for how long we needed to wait and they said 20 minutes, so we decided to stay. The order arrived after roughly an hour. The waitress used a very poor excuse for the delay. The place was very noisy. There was also a dog in the restaurant that barked periodically. The bathroom was really dirty. The food was ok, like the one you can get anywhere else. I would not recommend anyone to go there. Consider also that is was not high season.

This restaurant was recommended by our hosts. We asked for something local and not with to much tourists. The food was great and the wine as well! The setting and interior is basic however this is exactly what we ales for! Would recommend this to everyone!

Having just arrived in Sant'Antioco we looked for a recommendation from our host and she recommended this restaurant as it was close and she (the local) said it was great pizza, so off we trotted, very glad we did.We arrived and sat down before being presented with a menu, only in Italian but when its pizza its easy to work out what you are getting. We ordered out pizza and a half litre of wine (there was no wine list) . The owner came back with a half bottle of wine which we had anyway and it was lovely. What we loved about this place is that all of the ingredients appeared (99% sure it was the case) to be freshly sliced and prepared as you order. Many places have pre sliced meats, veggies etch but from what we could tell, it was all done fresh. Including the meat, which was the highlight for me, that was brought out of the fridge, with the ham being put into a meat slicer and freshly sliced and delivered straight to the pizza and the salami that was hand cut and dropped straight on the pizza...As for the taste, wonderful. Lovely thin crispy base, fresh tomato sauce, lovely cheese (and not too much of it) and fresh tasty toppings. Now normally I leave the crusts as they are not the best part but I cleaned my plate, as did my partner. At the end of the meal the owner brought us some local dessert wine which was lovely, and as we found out, on the house!!!All in all we can HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Friendly owner (who speaks great english), lovely wine, perfect pizza and all at a very cheap price!!

PIZZERIA SARDA- The Dolly restaurant in Sardinia embodies the typical Italian pizzeria that, without overwhelming, conquers the hearts of all the diners through the lacordiality of the staff and good food that never misses. SUPER PORTS - With portions tha
My mother in law was 90 yesterday, so we decided it was a good reason to celebrate. Our first choice was another one: Hotel Martinelli same place and better location, near the beach in Maladroxia, Sant'Antioco, CI, Sardinia. unfortunately it closed the sdeason on September 15th. We were suggested by the same Mr. Martinelli that we went to Dolly's. We arranded the menu and the price with the owner and chef. And finally on Grannie's birthday, September 28th, we had lunch at Dolly's. A fully satisfactory lunch. Several antipasti (horse d'ouvres), a very tasteful pasta (spaghetti allo scoglio) and after that we had a lot of grilled fish, including mouth-watwering prawns. We also tasted some mixed fried fish. To finish we were offered a bithday cake. The meal included cool wine, white and red, together with mineral water still and sparkling. Coffee and typical Sardinian brandies was the end of the meal. The waiter was very efficient and above all very kind. The service quick and with care. We were treated so well that I doubled the tip. The price was really good: 35 euros per person. We finished the day by the sea in Calasetta.

We have been there to eat fish but the fish menu was so bad, just a couple of not freezer fishes that we went for a pizza that was instead very good. The service was fast and kind.

Pasta was really good, also mussels and tuna had a good quality but the Monkfish was really disappointing, little bit overpriced for the quality. + they can speak English..

Stumbled on this place just south of the main drag and church. I loved it instantly. It's part rustic tavern, part pizzeria with a good menu of simple kitchen food (a particularly good range of pizzas, small plates and dolce), check table cloths that kind of thing. BUT the real draw for me was the excellent range of pump and bottled beers - craft beers of the world etc but all at really reasonable prices. Italy has gone mad for the craft but bars tcan be quite pricey. This place was quite different - even cheaper than my local at home. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and I had a bit of banter over the football in my tourist's Italian (they show the calcio but it doesn't dominate this charming little place). I wish I had a bar like this at home.

I first ate at Rubiu three years ago when it was located downtown. This year I went to the new large location. Same excellent quality. We had pizza with Sardinian provolone and eggplants and a plate with cheese, prosciutto, salami, and other nice delicatessen. Great artisanal beers. We had the light ones (white and red), both really good.

This was at least a very interesting place to eat, as the owners are making their restaurant a museum at the same time: a lot of cool ancient stuff is placed around - so it's worth the visit just for that. The food itself tends to be very local, and the dishes we tried were very nice. As the restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere and it was after the end of the tourist season, it was empty, and we enjoyed 5-star service by the staff, hungry for visitors, so it was a superb experience.
