You don't need to take a plane and fly to the Caribbean ... Colibri Beach Club & Bistrò was born in 2017 on Poetto beach in Quarto SantâElena, five minutes from the center of Cagliari. A beach club with a strong tropical appeal fits in perfect harmony in
:ovely spot on the beach.Tasty food, well prepared. Just not enough of it.Portion size just seemed a bit too small. The quantity is not the cost to a restaurant such as this, but when it is so meagre it just feels a bit mean.Be a bit more generous and your customers will go away with a bigger smile on their faces!

This restaurant offers not only good food but also an authentic Japanese decor, from the tables to the restroom. Waitresses and cooks are all Asiatic. We were pleasantly surprised as we did not expect this from the ugly neighborhood and especially from such a small city as Quartu; this is a restaurant like the ones you could find in London or New York. And the all-you-can-eat menu is only 22.50 EUR. We will come back.

We had lunch here twice this week and both times were delighted with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff especially our waitress Roberta. Her English and understanding of the menu were great and made us feel so welcome. Well worth a visit if you are nearby. Thanks

A good attempt at recreating some of the more traditional decor & ambience of a Westernised Japanese restaurant with a good potential volume of customers being catered for which retracts from the usual intimacy of a sushi restaurant. A warm welcome by a very accomplished owner, possibly Korean? A very good standard of English was spoken & he was able to answer all of my questions, something that was required as the menu was only available in Italian. Thankfully, I already knew what I wanted, Miso soup, mixed Nigiri, 4 Salmon Nigiri & Takoyaki. The food was exactly as I had expected, although Iâm still not sure what the white fish Nigiri was as the helpful host only knew its Italian name. The sushi was well formed, ever so slightly smaller than in Japan & with no wasabi added during the prep. The Takoyaki was also smaller but very close to that which Iâve eaten in Osaka; I would add that the browning bed of lettuce it sat upon was a little disappointing & totally unnecessary.I must say, from the way people kept sneaking a peak at me, I may have been the first Englishman they had seen in a while. As virtually all of Cagliari is closed on a Sunday Iâm glad I came across KoKo on TA. Its proximity to my hotel was a real advantage & Iâm glad I bravely chose to takeaway my food, which sounds a little silly when read, but have you driven in Cagliari at night in a rental car on the, âwrongâ, side of the road recently? My only true gripe with the whole meal was the fact I was only given one satchet of wasabi.
