Located in the grounds of the Polo Club at Soto, this is a lovely restaurant - decor heavily influenced by wood which is a prominent feature- exposed beams/ vaulted timber roof. Warm welcome and delightful staff. Place has a kind of rustic / natural elegance. Whilst other dishes are available they do serve the most wonderful Argentinian steaks. The seared scallops were also excellent - full of flavour and cooked to perfection. A quality dining experience.

El Gaucho was the first Argentinian restaurant to open in Sotogrande, since 1985. Our goal is to provide high quality steak outlining the simple and uncomplicated pleasures of life. Because who needs more?
Ate here twice during stay in Sotogrande. First time didnât rate it but thought give it another chance. Nice surroundings and staff friendly. Overpriced food, with little accompanying vegetables or salad, just a jacket potato or very poor chips. Bread roll provided was warm to disguise its staleness as once cold it was like a brick. Mixed grill was okay, loads of meat cooking on a brazier brought to the table. Steaks had to be returned as not cooked to how ordered. Fish was okay. Wine was reasonably priced.

Familiar resturant, where you can enjoy a great atmosphere. Our restuarant is specialized on grill all type of meat. You can enjoy the famous chicken a piri piri typical from Portugal, all kind of iberico pork and beef (secreto iberico, ox steak, and more
We were a group of friends and one of our local friends in Gibraltar recommended this restaurant. It is on the way from Algeciras to La Linea/Gibraltar. We arrived there at around 11 pm and it was worth the travel! Although it was 11, the place was teeming with the locals and both inside and outside seating was full. However, the staff quickly found us a table outside. We ordered tomato salad, 2 grilled chicken, 2 grilled quails and drinks (no alcohol). The chicken was heaven, which the restaurant is famous for. They have a huge grill outside and the chef/owner grill your grill in front of you. The chicken was succulent as hell, right amount of spices, falling of the bone and tasted amazing. Even the tomato salad was great tasting with great flavors and hint of spices. We ate till we couldn't eat anymore and we almost fell off the chair when the bill arrived. It was cheap as chips for the quality and quantity of food they serve. The staff was friendly, food was amazing, reasonable prices and great environment - what else could one ask for.
