Located in the heart of Sotogrande, was originally the old " Cortijo Valderrama" and first residence of Joseph Mcmiking, founder of Sotogrande. In his master dining room, flanked by two chimneys, or in the wonderful covered terrace, or in the gardens, if
Good food, service in an interesting location among tropical vegetation and a horse ranch. The salt baked bass and corvina on the grill are very good. The tempura prawns are a fine starter. The aubergine salad is interesting but perhaps too many flavors competing with one another.

A semicircular staircase leads guests to Gaia's elegant dining room, where warm colors and rich wood floors give way to oversized windows and an expansive terrace with stunning views. The restaurantâs grand design does not diminish its cozy and intimate a
It was a while since I had been at Gaia, and I must say coming back has been a really rewarding experience. The menu has local cuisine mixed with international dishes. Well balanced. Service is amicable, makes you feel at home, and gives you true and honest recommendations - no upselling. I arrived late, after a long trip, and immediately I was being made feel relaxed. The Autumn/winter menu is great. Do try the tuna and the presa for local dishes!

Just a lovely local restaurant - great staff (one who was really helpful with explaining what he could in English, as most staff were native Spaniards), nice atmosphere and gorgeous authentic tapas - I personally particularly loved the goats cheese and honey :-) Prices were reasonable too. Very much recommended!

I always order the home-made pasta with truffles- its to die for- the best pasta I have ever eaten. Excellent staff- shame about the car park view but it is what it is and the food more than makes up for it

This is in a sleepy laid back little town... centrally located.very quite area. with ample parking in the vicinity, at no charge, We sat out at the front, where we had views of the streets and passing folk, this is an establishment that is quiet well supported by locals as well as others passing through...as we sat down, there were ''no'' more tables available..After ordering drinks, we decided to order 4 different dishes and eat them like tapas...sharing with everyone...we had duck, pork steaks, fish and meat rissoles....all accompanied with chips, salad and bread...Very flavoursome and of good portions, nothing was left and it was enjoyed by us all....The service was prompt the waiter funny and polite with no pressure on us ....good customer service. We were given ''free'' after shots of a local liquor....I didn't visit the toilet, so not sure of the cleanliness, but overall a good experience and food at a reasonable price....would visit again...

We went on a night when most restaurants were closed or not open on posted times. Menu was comprehensive, service good, and location on the square very pleasant. We ordered steak which was a nice portion but at best average quality (grizzly), Desserts were very good.

Great little restaurant with the best service. There are 2 types of menus - Spanish/Med and Japanese. We actually never tried Spanish one, so no comment there. But their sushi menu and choice is unbelievable! There are numerous pages to chose from. So, if you are sushi fans like us - Highly recommended. Beautiful location with great view too.
